Just Who Is Julian Assange?

I am sure many of you might be aware that the controversial website - WikiLeaks is being blocked in several countries and more coming. Amazon has even opted out providing server services to this site.
But at the end of the day, I have to wonder just what and who is this person - Julian Assange the owner of the controversial WikiLeaks a.k.a whistle blower, which had successful a load of Pentagon and now many other dirty "laundry" from all over the world.
I wonder if his current misdemeanor could have something to do with the fact that he was a hacker. He is Mendax, who (would you believe it) wrote the early rules of the hacking subculture: "Don’t damage computer systems you break into (including crashing them); don’t change the information in those systems (except for altering logs to cover your tracks); and share information."
I just do not care that he hacks or writes since he is also a journalists but I have to disagree with everything he is doing with WikiLeaks. For one, none of what he is revealing or dumping is right and all I can see is it will affect world peace. Stirring something unthinkable here can really have irreparable consequence.
I hate to say this but I have to say that I see a higher conspiracy here. Care to differ otherwise? Do you support his doing and/or website?

Honesty is the Best Policy! Julian Assange is an Angel from heaven, sent to bring Light to this dark, dishonest, and deceitful world. Our governments have met their match in Wiki, and now must submit to a more honest straightforward approach to leadership. There are still more people in this world who value truth and honesty than those who do not, and these intelligent people will rise up and smite the likes of Hillary Clinton who maintained,as she flew around the world, that the truth, leaked, will Kill and Maim. She must learn that -The Truth spoken, will Set You Free!

There are 2 areas in which I am concern about WikiLeaks. Starting with the way they get hold of highly sensitive information to dump on their site. It would be unthinkable when people at sensitive organizations could unload their responsibilities.
What about the possibility that WikiLeaks may SELL the sensitive information or materials to the other side - enemies or terrorist organizations?
Next, I believe will be the authenticity of the materials. I am sure none of us will be able to know if the information and/or materials are not some made up or slander or tabloid material. If they are the latter and end up in catastrophe, then I believe it will be unthinkable.
