To be or not to be .....

I recently heard this over the radio. The presenter posed this question to the audience - "Would you rather be short, boring but rich or tall, interesting but always poor". I wish there is a middle path but this is a choice of extremes - being rich always has its advantages but "always poor" can dissuade the committed ones. Any thoughts on this?

carpediem the presenter I think is an idiot as people cannot be put in cubby holes like that, those are two extremes and most of us dislike either one. I would like to be short as I am short, and interesting and have just enough money to pay my bills and live in an apartment here in California. I do not want to tall or boring and in real life things are not just black or white but all shades in between. the presenter only wants to shake others up and make it interesting but totally untrue.

hi Hatley - yup, the presenter is creating an opportunity to debate in this instance and how skewed we are towards wealth and otherwise. haha.

To be honest I would not see it this way, as long as I am happy and healthy I would work through other flaws.

Unfortunately in this world of ours it is always not possible have all the ideal traits and situations. If you have one thing then you don`t have the other. However some people do have almost all the best things in life and also the characteristics of an ideal man, well almost.Life is full of contradictions and not everybody can aspire for the middle path, as you have put it.However it is better to be well-off,ie having enough in the kitty to sustain oneself without scrounging and fighting for survival and leading a hand-to-mouth existence.

hi veejay, i think it is always good to be comfortable and having enough to pay the bills. So being short and boring should be the lesser problem.

when you say interesting? is this the type of guy that can be considered and lined up with the Actors in Hollywood? if yes, i would rather choose him. since i can make lots of money with my interesting assets, my face and my height. but if circumstances failed and i would still be ended POOR, then i would choose the short, boring but rich. i would not be tag line as boring then, since i have money that girls can looked up to. LOL! i can also use my money, to change the way i look. since height would still be matter, but the weight in my pocket would most matter to anyone. LOL!. but still, whatever would be the choice most important is the attitude on having what has been given unto you. :)

I guess it is really difficult to choose the two extreme ends. I guess this is the type of question that sorta make us think a bit more as to what we really want in life etc.
