I NEED COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last night our temperatures went down to record lows for us to -14, I have woken this morning to NO WATER!! We are completely frozen up, I need my coffee!! Never mind a wash or washing the clothes - it's my first coffee I miss!! What would be the ething you missed if your water froze?

Well, in India there is no way the water would freeze except in the extreme north. But if the same happens to me, I think my answer would be as that of yours. Morning coffee. The aroma of hot coffee in the morning is something I would definitely miss.

Did you melt some ice cubes....or have any bottled water to use to make coffee. I think flushing the flush would be what we would miss here.

luckily we were only an hour or so before we managed to get the water flowing, but that hour seemed a LONG time1!

I recall back in the old days before water conservation one prevents this from happening by letting the faucets drip. As long as water moves, even slowly, it does not have the chance to freeze. Amazing, this day in age the old problem is still around. I suppose it is like the flying cars we were supposed to have by 2000.

If I needed my coffee to keep me going then yes I would agree with you! But I think I would miss being able to get washed up especially if I had to go to work. No one wants to seem unkept or stinky for that matter at their place of employment KWIM? I'd have to call in sick or find some way to wash up. I hope your pipes thaw out soon.

In my country,India we don`t have this problem at all except in places like Kashmir where it snows and even there the temperature does not go to such a level as in your country. The only place where water freezes would be in the refrigator and that too in the freezer compartment.I can imagine how it is if you can`t do all the domestic chores when water has turned into ice. However why don`t you heat up the snow or ice and use it for brewing your coffee and also doing your chores?

Water...I would miss water if our pipes froze. I drink a lot of water during the day and usually it is the first thing I drink when I get up. I do understand about missing coffee! I used to drink a lot of coffee, but I have given up caffeine about five years ago. Oh, now I was really b*tch for about 2 weeks without my coffee, but I am okay now, however I can't seem to move around as quickly anymore in the mornings without coffee...but I manage somehow.

NO COFFEE!!!! We would be in trouble if ours froze, since the tank is in the loft.

find a river nearby.beat the thick ice like the primitive, you will find water. oh,forget to tell you, move that water to your room quickly,or you will get another piece of ice.

Frozen River - Water water everywhere, and not a drop to drink!!
Ironically I'm surrounded by water - a canal at the terear of my house and a river at the front both frozen solid!! See picture of the river below.
