Not ready to order your food? Will u do that? That's what I saw in my queue. As I was waiting to collect my takeaway, there was this lady in the queue. She was looking at the menu while nobody is attending to her. Of a sudden, she knock on the counter top, attracting the staff's attention to her. When asked what's her order, she told the staff to wait while she browse through the menu slowly. I was shaking my head as I watch the customer, wondering why she has to do that? I can understand if she is ready to place order before asking for the staff, but when she's not, then why the rush? The staff was washing some things and he had to hold just to attend to her, yet she took it for granted. Will u ever do that?

Sounds like she wants the world to revolve around her, I would call their attention if I was ready to order but if I was working there I would have just told her to give me a shout when she is ready. I know you have to be polite while you are working but some people really push it.

I agree with u. She wants attention and she wants to be waited on, not wanting to wait for others.

Hi there, nice to see a fellow Singaporean Where were you actually? For me, I don't usually see these types of people. Hmm...the way that lady did was just too selfish and inconsiderate. I will never ever do this. No matter what, when you're ready to order, then that's the time to ask for the staff. Oh my.

It was at coffee bean at junction 8. It's her attitude that irks me and I pity the staff.

I wouldn't call for staff if I'm not ready to place my order. There are times that I would wait for the staff to be ready to take my order. It really depends on my mood and situation.

Yes, that would be a good way too but some staffs will purposely ignore customers while concentrate on their small talks.

haha =D THat's what i always experienced when working as a crew in f&b line.. haha =D There are some customers whom really craves for attention because they feel that they are paying for our service and thus we need to have our attention on them. But they never though that other than serving customers, we do have other duties to fulfil and so we cant always be there for them. It's just too bad for those customers if they are not happy with our attitude or service, but that's just the way it is. If they are not ready to order, i wont bother them.. haha

Hi. Sanitary. Oh that is just so silly of her! I could never do that. I don't like it when I am being rushed to order my food either. When I am to the front I will be trying to figure out what I want to order. And, the worker then calls on me and ask me "Can they help you" and if I am ready to place my order. I will tell them "no". Most of the time, I will move to the side and look at the menu until I am ready to give them my order. I will never hold a line up by looking at the menu while the worker just stands there waiting on me. This will only make other customers that are behind me, impatient. I guess this woman thinks that she has the upper hand. Well the worker could have easily proved her wrong. He could have just told her, "M'am when you are ready to order could you please step aside so that I can serve the other customer's please"? That would have been only fair.

Yes, that's really silly of her, thinking that the world owes it to her. I'm just like u too, always waiting by the side, only queuing when i'm ready to order, except when there's long queue, only then i will decide while queuing. With regards to "M'am when you are ready to order could you please step aside so that I can serve the other customer's please"? , i'm sure that customer would be angry because being a typical singaporean, she's bound to complain.

That is totally weird. Why would someone do that? I mean I can understand if you knew what you wanted..But why call them over if you're just going to make them wait? Luckily I don't work in the food industry (and I have never had.. hope to never..) so I dont' have to worry about these kinds of food weirdos. lol.

That's what I don't understand as well. Unless she thinks that being a customer, she's always tight and ought to have royalty kind of service.
