Thankfully, only two weeks for me several years back, due to a really deliberating case of the flu. It was still feeling crummy for about another week after that but well enough to get on with my life, providing I relaxed and took it easy. Some people get put in bed for months and its bad news. So how about you?

Thankfully I've never been bedridden for more than a few days. I rarely get seriously ill. i was in bed for a few days due to a bad stomach virus that made me feel weak.I hope I never get seriously ill during my lifetime.
And I wish you all the best of health!

Yeah, I hope everyone remains healthy this holiday season. This is the worst time of the year to get sick for sure. Good to see that you've only been sick a few days at a time. It really just derails life to be sick much longer. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yes, it does stink a lot worse to be sick during the holidays. I work at an elementary school and a lot of the children are coming down with the stomach flu. I'm hoping I don't get sick with that for Christmas time.
You're welcome for the response. I hope you have a nice day too!

Hi,
Sleeping on a hospital bed is too clumsy. I never before had to be admitted in a hospital but this year there was no way. As I was seriously ill I was admitted and had to spend twenty five odd days there.
It was not at all sleep that I managed there.

I have not been to the point where I was in a hospital. Very close but not that point. Still I can really see how bad it would be. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

The longest time I've been in bed was when I was 9 years old. I had a typhoid fever. I stayed in the hospital for like 3 weeks. I just read comic books so I won't get bored when I'm not sleeping. I hated it because it's really boring and I have limited things to do. I just eat, sleep, read. And when I got back to school, I was thankful my grades weren't affected.

Yeah staying in the hospital for three weeks, that would drive anyone mad. Yeah, going back to school after a length illness, it can be quite the task, because you not only have to play catch up, but you have to keep up with current work. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Two years ago I went through bad bouts of the flu, where I was so sick on and off for the entire year. In December of that I year it took a big toll on me that I was in bed for two weeks straight. I suppose it was because I worked just as hard while I was sick throughout the year that I kept relapsing and then it finally hit me so hard that I just could not get out of bed.
Since then I have learned that I need to treat and take better care of me, and God willing for me I have not been sick since.

Good to see things have turned around for you. I have not been sick, well not enough where it can cause my life to stall in a while. Hopefully that continues, but you just never know. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

When I was really sick and had a bad flu I was in bed for almost a full week.I was really sick and unable to move around very well as I felt really weak and sick.I was vomiting a lot and unable to keep my food down at all for a few days. I took some pills and antibiotics and eventually I was back to normal.I try to make sure I always wash my hand from now on and try to stay away from others that are obviously sick and coughing. The last thing I need right now is to be sick again as i am in college now and even a day missed is very hard to catch up with with the amount of work done.

Fortunately it hasn't been too long, only about 4-5 days when I was smaller and I had the flu. I've had the flu again after that, several times, but only been in bed for maybe 3 days.
Take care!

Yeah its only good that its a few days. That's more than enough. Because the world does go on when you are sick and then its time to play catch up. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I think the longest Ive been in bed was about a week, with tonsilitis, that is the one thing that will knock me off my feet. I dont get it often enough to have my tonsils removed but when I get it Im really ill.

Haven't had anything wrong with that vein. Don't want to have anything wrong. Hopefully that is something that will continue to only happen every now and again and it is only going to not go beyond the level it is. Thank you for your response it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
