Mylot Updating their Discussion Guidelines (When)

Hello Lotters, First off, I've always consider reading the guidelines myself twice or thrice a week I lessen my mistakes in making my post here. as for the new ones, when ever a lotter drops by he or she reminds the new comers about the rules that they need to read in the guidelines so that they don't have to asked questions by the use of discussion. thus, lesser poll type discussion. But here's the thing, there has been some changes in the site. preferably the supposedly not sharing of paypal accounts or pc when using mylot, which i believe has now change. and them some, except the discussion guidelines. I guess it's one of the reasons why i don't remind people that much about the Guidelines because I fear it's becoming OUTDATED as time passes by. I hope the admin has a say in this matter. Opinions are necessary..experiences too.

I use to be heavy on informing members of the guidelines but found that they although never read them got too outraged, as they felt intimidated and well all I was doing was being helpful. At any rate if a member is specifically new and asking for help I find I no longer inform members to do so. I am one that will never get way too old to review, as there are times that my responses get deleted and when I open the guidelines simultaneously with the email alert it really does help to understand and avoid future mistakes.

Hello Hardworkinggurl, Yeah, but what am trying to emphasize here is that some of the rules aren't supposed to be there anymore. like the sharing of account has now been legalize but it says on the rules that it's not so that will be confusing to new members.

Hi Knight, I am mylotting after quite a long break and I must say when I checked the guidelines I hardly spotted any differences. I will agree with you that mylot hasn't updated them in the recent past. If there have been some changes then they should mention it in the FAQs and guidelines. It is really difficult for the newbies and members like me who are returning after a long time when there have been changes in mylot and not been mentioned anywhere.

Hello Sagnik, THe changes aren't that much except that the guidelines wasn't update because of the change.well, that's why am not being so reminder now because i got a problem that other new users might question the guidelines if in case they ever discover this conflict with the latest change and the guidelines.

Yes, new users will definitely get confused by the contradictions which will land you in trouble more often than not. And thanks for the BR.

My husband and I have shared a paypal account for more than 5 years! I had no idea that it was a no no! He is not on mylot, so that may be why no one has said anything to us prior to this. I do my best to follow the rules, but sometimes I just flat mess up on some things....I am human after all.

Hello Carpenter, It's allowed now through affiliation method, you can check it in the Preference section.. Is he a mylotter but inactive, make sure you indentify it through the affiliation area. well, i have broke some rules myself that lead to cancellation of the account of my first username.

hi letran you are so right. I think it was the Lamb who clued me in that now two can share a paypal account legally and I had put my foot in my big mouth having stated that was a no no. so I went back and refreshed my own knowledge as its embarrassing to make that big a booboo. My opinion is that maybe mylot admins might make a nudge statement occasionally reminding us that they have updated the guidelines and other information.I know it is up to us to check but sometimes we get busy too.[

Hello Hatley It is and it's not stated in the Guidelines, it still says it's not allowed. well, i got busy a bit now so i won't put up on this much any further. besides, we got a lot of things to post in this site with lots and lots of discussions to respond to.

Letran- If I'm about to give advice out of the guidelines I will open up another window and go and read them before posting. So, according to the current Guidelines found under the Mylot tab and located under the Do's and Don'ts of Mylot: Now for the DON'Ts * Create more than one myLot account per person. Creating multiple accounts is grounds for immediate account cancellation and forfeiture of all earnings. * Share PayPal accounts. Please use only one PayPal account per myLot account. Those are the current guidelines. I would agree that if they change policies we should be sent an update in our emails just letting us know, but checking before giving advice would solve any issues. Namaste-Anora

Hello Anora, Well, with regards to sharing of Paypal accounts, that's been changed since we have the affiliation option here. i think that should be updated in the guidelines since it's going to confuse the user when they see it. At least for the other rule, that is very clear to every one.there was one lotter i have reported to have actually done this for admitting he has another account.

Haven't read the guidelines for a while now but yeah, I've noticed that you can now share your Paypal account with another MyLot user. I think it's great especially if the other user is related to you. They don't have to create another Paypal account let alone apply for a debit card to cash out the money.

Hello Front visions, Well, at least they would be identified and not suspicious at.But the problem is that this is written in the guidelines since it's says it's not allow but admin had change their minds. i think the guidelines should be update and says that it's allowing sharing of paypal accounts
