Wow aren't I having a lot of Christmas cheers? [ what with the siblings all against each other] mind you I only have 4... 1 boy 3 girls...[girls are single, my son is married]I love them to be over at my place for Christmas...but noooo... if such and such is there then I won't be there I can't stand such and such boy friend! sooo at the end of the day what do you do? I just feel like booking a hotel room some where and spend Christmas reading a book! I know I won't do that![ but it's quite tempting] I Am still having Christmas at home now I will leave up to them...and see what happens! My children think we are a disfunctional family but I just ask my self who made it so?

Bad blood brewing up in the family is not unusual as it happens to many families too. Some even have denounced their own flesh and blood relatives because of deep seated internal problems that see no amicable settlement. As a parent it is no easy task to reconnect the lost links as they are adults themselves and should be able to thrash out any misunderstandings for the sake of family unity.
Our family is no difference. Their is a sister not talking to a brother and one is trying to pull mom to her side to gain more favor. One just left to a faraway land because she can't stand the bickering in the home front. It is not easy for mom to straighten out the thinking of her 10 children. It comes to a point that the house become a battlefield of silence war.

It is no longer common to see big families these days. I didn't know how mom did it but I can say she sacrificed herself to have us and only now when all of us have turned adults that she frees herself from the burden of parenting. Being the only child herself, I believe she wanted to be surrounded with many children to fill the void of growing up alone. She never stop being my guardian angel and to the rest of the siblings.
