Watching documentaries

Hi myLotters! I've always enjoyed watching documentaries on TV. My grandpa loved them, dad loves them too and so do I... so I guess I must've gotten it from them :) My favourite types of documentaries are the ones that deal with sea creatures (especially the ones from the abyssal zones, they're just fascinating!), the universe, and also the history ones (especially ancient history, though I also enjoy those that are about the medieval times or the Renaissance). What about you? Do you like watching documentaries or on the contrary find them boring? If you like them, which are your favourite topics? Any recommendations too?

Documentaries are worth watching! I don't find it boring, it's actually exciting for me. There's no script, no stage actors, just pure real acts. My favorite documentaries are the ones that deal with animals and influential people. I recommend you watch "The Great Migration" documented by the National Geographic Channel. It's the most ambitious project they've done so far and It's really good. I was blown away when I first seen the documentary, I even cried at one point of the film, that's how engrossing it is. So I hope that you'll be able to watch it.

It depends on the type of documentaries. If it is very interesting I will watch it, if not then I won't, unfortunately most of the documentaries are boring.

I like to watch documentaries too. So my favorite channels are Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Travel Channel and Animal Planet. I like the most Ultimate survival series, very interesting surviving situations. Now I find new interesting series, The most extreme, about most extreme animals in selected categories. Like, the most loud, the most lazzy, and so on...And I like to watch one series about 2 world war, its really good and has all videos from this time.

It seems many people are interested in WWII documentaries, I personally prefer 'older' history, so to speak :) Thanks for your reply, and take care!

apologize in advance. I prefer movies that blend horror and hot.

I do enjoy documentaries a lot. I like historical ones, and I like some that are released in movie theaters as well. Young@Heart is one of my favorites. It's inspiring. I saw one a few years ago on TV that captivated me. It was about how in WWII, people smuggled Jewish children out of Germany and Poland. The children were sent to live in places like England, with foster families. And sometimes those foster families weren't exactly good. But it was inspiring about the parents who had to part with their children (many were reunited with their parents after the war was over), and the children who managed to thrive in a completely new environment.

That sounds interesting indeed, it must've been so hard for those families to part with their children, and also so hard for the children themselves. War is never nice. Thank you for your reply and take care! :)
