Life isn't a bed of roses! We get what we deserve!

Sometimes I wonder if people think that life is supposed to be a bed of roses! Some people have everything they want or do they really have everything they need? I think life is what we make of it. If we work hard and try to be kind to others life will be easier. But nothing is free in life we all have to work at what we want to have in this life! Do you think that life should be a bed of roses? Roses have thorns!

Hello Free, i have to say that if life is bed of roses, it would be much annoying for me. I would like to have my own fights, i would like to have my own goals, after which to run as a child, i would like to change myself, to do useful stuff for the others and for myself. If i miss all that, i can't imagine what it would be. It would be so easy, that there won't be a sense of the life at all, for me.
Sometimes we think that we need something, but when we get it, we want something else. This is why people need clear view of what they want. More thinking, less dreaming for us to be pleased at the end when we have the thing we wanted to have.
If we dream too much and invest a lot of time, money and power in reaching something, which at the end will disappoint us, we will loose the chance to enjoy our having.

Hi Suggar. You are so right by going after things we want and not stopping to look at what we already have we miss out on the real meaning of life! And then when we get what ever it is we think we need something better! Why can't we all be happy with what God gave us and thank HIM for what ever we get in life?

Hi Suggar. I have met more greedy people in my life then I have that isn't greedy. I grew up very poor in finical ways but was rich in the love that my sisters and brothers had for each other. It sin't this way now we all have grown up and went our own ways. We can't even carry on a conversation because I won't put up with greed from my family! They treat me like I am still a child and I am 58 years young.....LOL It is good that your friend the lawyer didn't let greed take over him. Good luck my friend!

Life is what we make it to be. Most often people always want something more. Perhaps the secret to being happy is being contented of what we have. Of course we dream, we plan and we work. If we are satisfied with what you have then there is happiness. Many people have lots of money, they can be happy, or they can be sad. There are also people who strive so much just to have something to eat each day. Yet they are happy and still have time to share laughter with friends and family. Overall, its entirely up to us, how we face each day. Perhaps the best thing to consider is accept the things that we cannot change, and try to change those things we cannot accept. Eventually by doing this, life would be great!

I have always dreamed life should be like a bed of roses and that someone would take care of me! I still dream that dream! Life is hard and the older you get the harder it is! I wish there was a book written on Life and given to everyone when they turn 18 to prepare them for life! I should could of used it! You can't rely on family and the teachers to do it! I try to make life the way I want it but it is hard and trying just makes me unhappier! You seem to have all the awsers?hat is your opinion on my reply? I would like to know!

We listen to him daily and I learn new and exciting things about the bible. We all have had a book about life since 1611 it is called the King James Bible and if we would all follow Gods word then this world might have turned into a bed of roses without the thorns. I too dream that life can be a bed of Roses like the garden of Eden was for Adam and Eve. If you wish to learn how to make your life better the go listen to the man on that link. He won't be begging for money for an hour. He will tell you if you live on a fixed income to not spend your money on him or anyone else do what you have to do and then if you wish to make a love offering then God will see it and bless you! Indeed you are right, roses have thorns and as such it would seem that life IS a bed of roses (thorns including). There are some people with a sense of entitlement and that makes it worse. We don't necessarily deserve what we have, sometime its better than we deserve but we try to be where we want to be. That just my take on this

i believe that life isnt a bed of roses but about of we get what we deserve i dont agree with that^^ there are good people that dont deserve bad things to happen to them but still bad things happen. so i dont think that life is fair with everyone. there are some people that dont deserve to be unhappy and they are bcs life does bad to them when in reality they dont deserve so i dont agree that we all get what we deserve. i guess that depends of the person.

Hi Sweet. There does seem that bad stuff does happen to those that seem like they are really good people but do we know their hearts? I feel I am a pretty good person but bad stuff has happened to me all my life. I am no prefect angle either I have done my share of bad things too so I feel like I did deserve some of the bad stuff that happened to me. If we live by what is right in Gods eyes we may not have as much bad things happen to us. I have known people that I thought was pretty good and turned out later I would find out they weren't that good. Sure there are good people that have bad things happen to them that don't deserve. Oh well if we work hard and try to do what is right by God and other fellow human beings God will protect us from evil things. All we have to do is ask in Jesus name and order evil from us. It works I have done this in Jesus name and the evil flees from The LORD!

Life is ironic and not bed of roses all the time. It is a bed of roses when the petals are separated from its stem. However, we have to consider that life is spelled with L-I-F-E. Meaning, in our journey of life, there are many ifs. As you can notice, the letters between life are I and F.

Hi Maean. So right that most people don't notice that big IF in Life. God says that in HIS word IF we do what is right in Gods eyes then life can be a bed of roses. I found out a long time ago to stop and smell the roses but sometimes I forget it myself. Life can be good if we all work at making the world a lot better place to live.

Life is not a bed of roses. We shouldn't expect it to be. There will be highs and lows. There will be obstacles to overcome and achievements to claim. We do get what we deserve by putting what effort we will into what we do.1 person likes this

Each and everybody knows that life is not a bed of roses, it is rather a bed of thorns. We have to work hard to achieve something. But unfortunately it is also true that a now a days there is a tendency to achieve everything by manipulation. It is also true that many a man uses this tactic to achieve their goal which hurts those who are really toiling hard and yet cannot get what they deserve.

Hi Doc. I know many people that think and act like the world should just do anything and everything for them. And they think just cause they are who they are that people should be at their beckon call. We as humans should respect each other and think before we do something to anyone but there are few and far between people that actually do that as a practice in life.

Yes. Life could be a bed of roses. The only problem is that people only saw the roses and not the thorns, too. They thought life on earth is always like a paradise and that they forgot that with those roses are thorns to make life more challenging and for people to either become stronger or weaker. :)

Hi Neelia_lyn and welcome to my lot. I wonder why these people think that they don't have to work for what they get. I wonder why people don't realize to get anywhere in life they have to do something about it themselves! I became strong when I was only a child becasue I was taught by my parents the to get what we want out of life we have to be responsible for ourselves. I thank God for the parents I had. My mom was mean that taught me how to fight for my rights my dad was kind that taught me to be kind to others. It also taught me to be stronger when things gets too tough for me to handle I ask The LORD for HIS help! I thank God that my parents got me into church when I was young and that taught me to let God be my guide in this life!

Hi Frenzylady. I have met too many people through out my life that seemed to think that the world owed them! I never could understand this why not get out and work for what we want. I have been working since I was a small child we picked fruit when I was young. Hard work for a little pay but it taught me that if I wanted something I would have to work for it.

Hi Mars and welcome to my lot. I wish more people would realize that what ever we put into this life that God gave us is what we deserve. Some people think the world owes them a living because they are alive! Life is a hard thing to do but if we work at living the right way that shows respect to others and do unto others as we would have done unto ourselves life can be good!
