When I was much younger my grand parents use to really decorate the entire inside and outside of our house so they must have started around the end of November or the beginning of December, but as I got older and after my grandfather passed away, it seemed like we wouold start putting them up the week of Christmas and we did not do all the outside stuff that he use to do but the house was still very nicely decorated.

We don't decorate at home, because it's just the two of us, and our cat. LOL However, all the decorations at the coffee shop were up on the first of December. :)

The day after Thanksgiving is a good time for us as well. Or at least the week after. Within a week, the tree is up. In all of its glory. It is a wondrous sight with all of the ornaments throughout the years on it. Some really old ones, but they hold a special place in my heart to say the least. It is just one of those things that kick off the holidays right.
