I wish stores would bring back layaway!

I REALLY DO! I loved layaway when it was available! I could put something I wanted or needed on layaway! Then be able to get it in a few months! It was so convenent for me! Now that it si not availabe I am screwed! I either have to buy it when I absolately need it,if I have the money or not! Trying to save up money for something is a f*cking joke with me! I currently have no credit card and no credit at all! Why does buying things have to be so difficult! GRRRRRR!!

I did layaway once for a dress for my cousin's wedding. Haven't done it since, so I didn't even know they had discontinued the practice. I suppose it's because of the easy availability of credit.

I did it once and they were Christmas presents then when I went to get the items some were missing, sad part they were no longer in stock so I never tried it again. I can only imagine that this happens too often and so it is a big hassle, as no I did not want store credit. I wanted my money back same way I easily gave it to them.

I was thinking that you could buy a pre-paid credit card, but that wouldn't really help either, would it?
I have never saved money before either, until I opened a savings account online with my bank.
Now every check, I transfer money over into that account...and do not spend it....to save for another time.

I could order out of some of the magazines I have credit to order stuff from. I don't like it because I get charged with a shipping charge and interest,like a regular credit card. It would be cheaper to put it on layaway!

Seriously until your post I did not know retailers have done away with lay-a-ways. I remember doing it once a few years ago and it was quite a mess as when I went to get my purchase half of the items were missing and no longer in stock, so I never tried again, as the items were for Christmas presents.

Yes Walmart discontinued layaway! It happen like 2 years ago! I was not happy with it! Still am not! I used to fgor clothes, a new vacuum cleaner and other things! i loved layaway!
