I was just wandering if anyone in my lot land can remember what the best present they got when they were a kid? Did you still believe in Santa at the time and was it a surprise or was it something you had asked for? For me it was when I was 8 years old and I still believed in Santa but I was always getting dolls for presents and I was not into dolls even though everyone thought I should be, then when I was 8 I woke up christmas morning and found a remote control car for me in my Santa sack. It was the best present ever, so what was yours and why?

I don't really know when I stopped believing in Santa Claus but it had to be at a pretty young age. It was hard to believe about him when my siblings and I knew that it was our parents who bought us all the presents under the tree. Growing up, we all usually got clothes for Christmas and we all knew about this because we were the ones who picked out what we wanted when they took us shopping. So even though it was predictable we still loved it. But thinking back, I think the best gift I ever got was the collection of Where's Waldo things. I remember there being a puzzle, some books and a few other things. I thought that was the coolest thing since I was really obsessed with Waldo and finding him as a kid. I think I was 9 at the time.

Same here. My brother actually got me some of those Where's Waldo books for Christmas last year and my siblings and I ended up fighting over them and we were crowded in front of the book trying to find Waldo and the others.

As long as you still had good times to remember that is all that really matters and I still get a kick out of looking for Waldo. Merry Christmas.

Well of course s we all know Santa IS real, so I have always believed in him! Now you have to take pity on me as I am so old it takes me a while to think back over all those years as to what was my favourite present; but I think it was actually a pot tea set that I received. It was beautiful, each piece of the tea set was decorated with pictures of different nursery rhymes; I loved it and had endless 'tea parties' with my dolls and teddies. I really cherished that tea set and made sure it was always put away safely in 'it's box!!

My favorite present I got as a kid was this Barbie doll of Belle, from the broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. She was a collectable one, and I thought she was beautiful, though I never thought I'd actually get her. She's still in the box- I didn't want to ruin anything. At that point I didn't believe in Santa. I'm not quite sure when I stopped believing. I remember a friend when I was 8 telling me where her mom kept the presents from Santa, but I don't remember being shocked or upset finding out there was no Santa. I have a little sister, though, so I never said anything. She's 20 now and still tries to insist that my parents play Santa- my parents talk about filling stockings or getting a present that has a "From Santa" label and she gets upset because they've acknowledged there's no Santa.

I hope you still have the doll and I love playing Santa even though the kids don't believe now, it is fun to sneak around when they are asleep.

Hmm...let me think. I remember the best present I got was a Microsoft computer game about racing. The game was called Rallisport challenge and I really liked it. That sure was nostalgic.

Glad to be able to bring back a good memory but personally I always liked Need for Speed better and still play those games today. Merry Christmas.

That is really kind of sad, do you have something that was supposed to be like a santa equivalent or did you always know it was your parents getting you things?

For me it was when I was 5 years old and I still believe in Santa too. I didn't like dolls and I usually won cars and clothes. And when I was 5 we were in my uncle's farm and it was very late in the night. And we heard a bell (four years after I discovered it was my grandfather). When I went to my Santa sack there was a bike near this!!! It was my best present ever!!!

The best present I got was just last year. I didn't believe in Santa (considering that I was 14) but it was the laptop that I'm using now. It was a surprise for me. I woke up Christmas Day and next to my bed was the laptop box. I guess my parents didn't feel like wrapping it but I could have cared less.
