When you remove snow, do you have a snow blower that you use to get the excessive snow off of the driveway. Or do you just do it the old fashioned way, shovel it by hand. Myself, I really use the snow blower for what I can get but there are just sometimes where the shovel has to be used.

I honestly had no idea there was a blower specifically for snow. I knew of leaf blowers and such but didn't know of snow blowers. I suppose that comes from me living in the southern USA. It has only snowed like twice majorly since I was born and we always used a shovel when it was needed. The Schools tried to close down for the blizzard in 1994, but my dad and his friends wouldn't allow it, they pulled out their trucks and literally cleared the streets as needed. Was pretty funny as I look back on it.

It could very well be a regional thing true. However, yes when you live in an area like me that can get hit with a lot of snow, it is one of those things that we do need. Still its always good to have a shovel, because like with all technology, you're at its mercy. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

That is actually a good way to earn money in the winter time. Especially if you have a blower. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I actually don't mind shoveling snow. It gives me exercise I miss during the winter months that the summer gives. How do they work with a gravel driveway? I have heard it isn't good for the snow blower. Another reason our driveway is shoveled. My kids think I am crazy because I will go out and shovel. I do have some physical problems. To me if I take my time I am ok. It gives me the feeling I can still do things to help around here.

I heard that as well. Gravel really can tear up a snowblower. Blacktop works well however. Its fine when there's some snow but when it really comes down, then it can be a problem. Its like I'm fighting the snow and its winning. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

It does not snow in our area but I heard that putting salt on your drive way will prevent the snow from hardening too much. SO it is easier to shovel it.
