I've never done that myself but I know people who bought stuff used it for what they needed it for and then returned it to get their money back...NOT A BAD IDEA. People buy an outfit to wear to a wedding or some kinda party and return it the next day or they buy a drill to fix something and then take it back saying it didn't work right. Have you ever bought something for a certain occation and then returned it afterward?

Hey missy! I have heard of people that have done this. I have known people who have worn a dress and then returned it! I think that is beyond disgusting! I can honestly say that I would never even think of doing something like that! It is just too gross! I would never have the nerve to do something that low and I think that anyone who would do that is really pathetic!

I now of people who do this, it is more common in the US and Europe where consumer rights allow such returns without question from the merchants. Harder to do in other countries but still they are being done. personally I don't do it. hate for that to happen when I become a merchant right?

Some people do it all the time, it's kinda like cheating. I can't say I would never do it but so far I haven't.

Its not kinda like cheating, it is kinda like stealing! If the merchant has done something that me? I probably would just to get back at them

It's seldom I go to anything where I'd need to dress up & if I did I'd just wear some of my nicer clothes. I'm a guy, our stuff doesn't cost a fortune, there's no need for trickery. Plus being a guy I always need tools. Taking them back would be pointless since I'd likely need them again.

Maybe it's a gender thing. The only guy I've ever heard about in this kind of story was Homer Simpson... I've seen it on several shows & such where women do it though.

Hello missy. Well i haven't done this so far, but i have been accused of trying to once, so here is what happened: I bought a dvd from the hypermarket near me that i wanted to gift to my girlfriend i believe, and it turned out it didn't work when we installed it on her computer. I did not try it before giving it because i wanted it to be new and sealed... so when i went back they said that i perhaps made a copy of it and now i wanted to return it for the money or for a new one, and i told them i want the SAME software since it was a gift, and they ended their accusations after this, but still i felt kind of offended - it's not my fault that it had not worked in the first place.

That wasn't very nice of them to jump to conclusions like that.

Yes they are...just think how cool it would be to have a fancy dress to wear and then take it back and get your money back.

I know of a lot of people who use items and then return them to the store where they got them. I would be too guilty to try this. The store would know in a minute what i was doing. some people have no regrets at doing this. It is almost a hobby to some.

I'm sure there are people who do this all the time just for the fun of it. I would do it maybe if it was a special occasion were I needed to buy an outfit that I really couldn't afford.

lol...I have only seen this on tv. Do people really do that? I have never done anything like that and don't intend to. I have bought things and later returned them because they didn't hold up, maybe the soles ripped in the shoes after two weeks or the hems came out. That's a bad product and should be returned.

I've done that too but my honey bought a tux once to a wedding and took it back the next day. That's what made me think of this discussion.

I've never used then returned anything. After I've used it, i never returned the thing. I don't think it's a great idea to do that. Some people are working hard to sell their stuff to get food on a plate. I wouldn't wanna offend those people cuz karma hits back ten times harder.

I know people who do this all the time, they wear something but leave the price tags on and hidden and then return it the next day. I wouldnt do it as I would feel guilty, Im useless at lieing and would feel bad going to the shop the next day saying something didnt fit or didnt work.

I just never had any reason to do it or I might. If I had a wedding I was invited too and didn't have a dress that might be a goo d Idea to try it.
