Which Programs Would You Cancel?

Anyone who watches TV nowadays knows the airways are full of some of the worst programming ever.And in my opinion the reality shows are the worst of the bunch.But, if you were hired to cancel as many TV programs as you like, which "5" shows would you immediately take off the air?and why? There are far too many for me to list here but the very first one i'd cancel is Jersey Shore followed by every other reality show made in New Jersey and the reason is, they are so disrespectful and degrading to women and embarassing to anyone with any amount of common sense.if this is the way these people live when the cameras are rolling , i can't even imagine how their off the air lives are. interested to know your top 5 cancellations and please explain why they have to go.

Oh my god as I was reading your post before I got to the first one you would cancel I was saying to myself "Jersey Shore" the first one to go. I'm so with you on that and for the same reasons. All of the reality shows with housewives in the title, because they are all just catty boring females looking to just to be rich and famous and all fake beside that. Kate plus 8, because of the same reasons as the last.

Not surprising that you and i thought of the same program. I watched Jersey Shore once, just out of curiosity and it was really embarassing. i can't understand why it's so popular.And you are absolutley correct about the housewives shows.These women are so classless and two faced all they do is put each other down and act like that's ok. As for Kate plus 8, i never watched it but know what it's about.i don't understand that just because someone has 8 children they all of a sudden deserve their own reality program.

Oh Jersey Shore is a good one to choose to cancel. Their actions are so disgusting. And they portray not only women badly, but Americans! And I can't understand why women are attracted to those guys. Good abs, but no personality or brain...no thanks. The second one I would cancel is 30 Rock. I know there are worse shows on TV. But the smugness of Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey just as actors gets on my nerves. I'm not saying they aren't talented. But boy does that show annoy me. Third would be The Bachelor/Bachelorette junk! Oh my word it is nauseating. Fourth, South Park. I know some people find it funny. But I find it offensive in more than a dozen ways. The last is The Real Housewives show. I don't know if they can all count as one, but if I could only choose one to get rid of, it would be the Washington D.C. group.

Besides myself,you're the 2nd person who mentioned Jersey Shore as the first show you would cancel and of course i totally agree. I don't care how well these guy's are built, they have no class or intelligence and treat women like so much garbage .I never watched 30 rock so i can't say how good or bad it is, but,i don't like Tina Fey period and can't really say why. Oh my God! the Bachelor/Bachelorette,"nauseating" is putting it mildly, the concept is ridiculous and the women are like hungry wolves on the prowl.As for South Park i watched a total of 10 minutes of this show and that was more than enough, very offensive indeed. Housewives? i would bunch them into one group of the most spoiled women i've ever seen.If money can buy class these ladies should start spending it on just that.

Most of what I watch is either sporting events or Fox News, so I have no idea which shows I'd cancel.

Wife swap would be number one on my list of cancellations. I don't like the way it's set up at all. I think it is disrespectful of different people's customs and ways. And then I would take out some of the food shows..they seem just stupid. (but that's me!) I really don't watch enough to know what should be taken off!!

I find Wife Swap very disrespectful as well.I don't see the point of this program.All the live in wives seem to do is criticize and belittle each others husbands and lifestyle and most of the time the husbands are not willing to comply with the rules and it ends up being a battle between the two, where a lot of mean things are said and nothing really changes anyway. As for the cooking shows,i somwewhat disagree since i like Top Chef and Hells Kitchen , but would scrap most of them since in my opinion they are more or less copycats of the previous ones i mentioned and less appealing.

I have not really been watching TV much lately but yeah I agree with you and the previous posts Jersey Shore out the door, cancel the hills as well if they are still on but I heard they were already cancelled. A bunch of reality shows and their local version rip-offs. I'll think about it more and get back to you.

I never watched "The Hills",so, i can't really give an opinion on it.What is it supposed to be about? As for Jersey Shore, you're the 3rd person on this beside myself to say it has to go, but from what i've heard it's still very popular and for the life of me, i can't see why.

i hate watching basketball games so i always flip the channel when i see it hahaha! it bores me and makes me drowsy.
