While textbooks can be dry and boring (I always tell the students in my Economics 200 class that the book is best used as a cure for insomonia) you do have to read them in order to get an education. If you think textbooks are boring just wait until you get a job and have to read and explain some government regulation. As a college instructor reading your writing I would strongly suggest that you do more reading of quality writing (the Wall Street Journal is noted for the quality of their writing) in order to improve your writing skills. Good luck and the semester is almost over so you will be getting a break from reading soon.
