The best thing to do is really to go to a webmaster forum (I really like Digital Point, so I can recommend this forum), because you will find lists of all kinds of do follow links there, directories, blogs, social networks and more. So I think this should be your starting point. And if you find something you like, write down the name somewhere so you have it for future projects. This is really the best way to get started with link building I think.
