Is Barack Obama a Cuckold?

Barry O's excuse for leaving old Bill to run the presser was that he "didn't want ot make Michelle mad." What kind of message does that send to the American people and the world? And why would the sitting president defer to a past president to explain strategy? Is Barry O simply tired of actually working? Maybe he would like more time to work on his golf game. 2012 can't come soon enough.

I think you might be confused as to what a "cuckold" is.

I guess I need to "update" my vocabulary. I was using it in its more archaic meaning - a husband whose wife "ruled the roost". I don't think anyone would want to "get with" Hillary or Aunt Esther to fulfill the more modern version.

I think everybody is being a little biased in their opinion of our president Obama. Seems like Americans are all about criticizing rather than thinking first, then criticizing. The problem with you biased Americans is that you are all about free speech, rather than being about knowledgeable, logical, reasonable and rational free speech. First of all, the best thing to do is to keep as many supporters and friends in your circle as possible, despite the fact of them not being in any office. Also, just because Bill Clinton is not in office doesn't mean that Obama shouldn't keep him for advice on other things that may not pertain to the main issues. The wisdom that I have is that if you want to be wise, then consult the wise. The last thing I'd do is listen to a bunch of racist Americans whose opinions are based on racism rather than ethics. Obama is the most qualified presidential former presidential candidate to run for office.

Please, oh "wise" one, enlighten me as to the "racism" in the question. In fact, why don't you first define "racism" so that we can have a common definition to work from. No where in the opening post is any reference made to Obama's race. It seems that only the "wise" are infatuated with melatonin levels.

Now that I have caught up with the news on this incident, i see what you mean. obama using his wife as an excuse to duck out of an important discussion with the press is definitely unimpressive. Just as much is it disturbing to see him turn over the mic to an ex-president. That is so weird, it is almost beyond description. It really paints obama as an incompetent little boy who would rather be playing basketball. When the going gets tough, obama gets going.

As i sat there watching the press conference, several things crossed my mind. First and strangest, I actually found myself doing something I just didn't think was possible....pining for the good old days of the Clinton administration. Second was....wow, Obama is one whipped man. You can cite things like obligation to family etc, and I get that...but this wasn't Obama being late from a night out and keeping a family waiting..this was a presidential press conference on a very important and delicate matter of national economic stability. Third, though I try to not discuss politics in the same manner one discusses foot ball match ups and tournaments, in political terms, this was a disaster for Obama. It made him look weak, like he was deferring his responsibilities...to a former president know less... and made him appear as though he is unable to make the case for his decisions...a decision I happen to support and agree with in this case incidentally. It would have been an entirely different story had he stuck around and seen the conference through to it's conclusion, taken the lion share of the questions and stood up for his decision to make the compromise. He had a chance to look truly presidential and he blew it big time.

I was really astonished at what I saw in that press conference. For a sitting president to call in a former president for his advice on what to do is pretty amazing. What does that say for his ability to lead? He is at such a loss as to what to do that he has to call up a former president to advise him? Obama said Clinton presided over a prosperous time so he is bringing him in to help. That means he is pretty much saying that he hasn't got a clue as to how to fix the economy, so he'll ask Bill what to do. Then Clinton made the statement that he has spent hours looking at the economic problems and he doesn't really know how to fix them either. Great... the blind leading the blind. What they are really saying is that they don't have anything in the democrat playbook that will work. That's because the democrat/progressive/socialist/communist economic policies simply DON'T WORK but they certainly aren't going to consider what the republicans have to say. It will be interesting to see if clueless 1 and clueless 2 can come up with anything but I'm not getting my hopes up. Hey, what ever happened to what's his name, the vice president? I haven't heard from him in a while. Do they have him tied to a chair somewhere with a gag in his mouth or what? I guess he hasn't got any clues either...

Cuckold is a little strong... But bringing in Clinton didn't do anything in my mind to make me feel better about BO. I think BO is in way over his head and is grasping for anything to help him out. He may be better off on the basketball court, golf course, etc. because he's sure not doing his job in the White House.

I only saw that Bill Clinton and obama met. What is the presser and how is obama shirking his duties?

When the president cant do his job for fear he will upset his wife, it is time for him to step down. He signed up for this.

I think two things happened here: 1. Clinton talked longer than expected. Obama just brought him in for a show of unity of thought, BO had other obligations time-wise. 2. Clinton loves the attention and isn't quite ready to give up any spotlight he can get. Bill was a disaster stumping for Hillary because he talked about himself so much during those campaign speeches. Bill likes to pretend he is still president. Overall, it makes Obama look weak and ineffectual. He brings in Clinton as the "last Dem President you liked". The whole thing says that Obama doesn't have the power or influence to get a compromise through, he needs the help of someone the Congress still respects. The fact that Clinton just kept on holding court after BO had gone didn't help. It made Bill feel more presidential and it diminished Obama's image with the press, Congress and the public.
