Our universe was created by God

I was thinking about our universe and why I think God created it. Scientists have acknowledged there was a beginning to our universe. Which means there had to be a entity outside of time and space to create it. What do you think?

"Scientists have acknowledged there was a beginning to our universe. Which means there had to be an entity..." My question to you would be, how did you get to that conclusion? Just because it had a beginning doesn't mean someone (read: an entity) had to be carefully orchestrating everything. I could as well continue and say "then who created God? and who created the one that created God?" and this way you won't be getting anywhere. The universe might as well have "created" itself and is in a continuous cycle of Big Bangs and Big Crunches.

Actually there is no evidence of the existence of God. Every and any such "evidence" is based solely on religious faith. But I will not insist as I think your concept of "evidence" differs from the real concept of scientific evidence. Anyway, back to "creation". I used the term of creation in a metaphoric way. Energy cannot be created nor can it be destroyed, so there's nothing that will be created out of nothing. Therefore all the energy and matter in the Universe simply exists and has been like that for... hell knows how long. Energy goes through continuous changes but it is never destroyed or created. Thus, the concept of "God" or any entity is simply not necessary. If, by any means, you wish to name this almost limitless source of energy in the Universe "God", then you're free to do that. But that doesn't give him any personality or entity-like characteristics.

What I have heard is you cannot create something out of nothing. Computer programmers know that a program will not just pop out of no where. There is a reason why we were created and that is why I believe in a personal God. We have so much historical evidence as well as scientific evidence all pointing to a personal designer God.

You just stated there was a beginning. When there is a beginning there is no physical entity before a beginning. Only an eternal, spiritual God could make such a universe. There is a science called archeology that shows evidence of a personal God. Also in chemistry there are many, many examples that there had to be a designer. Did you see that website link I posted earlier? I would encourage you to take a look. You must take into account every aspect of humanity. History is very important to find out how the universe began and the Hebrew God Yahweh has never been proven wrong.

Hi crockett182, A very good question, I like such discussions. I agree with you that god created the universe. Also, recently it has been proved that the universe existed before big bang. I will try to answer a few things here: 1. Definition of "God". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi6yPJvCFU0&feature=related 2. Reason of big bang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXj4Po86gT0 3. Something related to bible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcrzD0PfyPs http://bibleufo.com/ http://www.physorg.com/news126955971.html Just like you, even I used to search for the answer of these questions and I have found these few URLs, I can not say whether it is right or wrong but yes, I can share it with you. It might answer a few of your questions.

Thanks for those links! I do believe in a personal God because of history.

Here is a very good link dollar3235! http://www.godandscience.info/gsi/apol/evo/00.html I know the guy who started this site. He is a physicist and believes in creation. Enjoy! :)

In my thinking, I believe Man created God, and the purpose is that man needed something within themselves to believe and have faith in ! a person has to have something to lean on , when times get rough and weary!

Hmm interesting though, I would say that man sees God in creation and believes in Him. We did not create Him, but we acknowledge Him as Creator and Lord. Another though is if we are only physical matter with no souls then we could not possibly even think of God or religion.

Read the Bible and you will find out how the universe began and who God is.

If the universe had to be "created" didn't "God" also have to be "created" ? What entity "created" "God". And what entity created the entity that created "God". Somewhere this chain should be broken - right ? Why break it at the point where there is only the one entity which is called "God" ? Why not break it at the point of the existence of the universe. Anyway one of the tenets of string theory is the existence of many large M dimensions that exist now and existed BEFORE the big bang. It is conjectured that two of these gigantic M dimensions collided thereby producing the big bang. No "God" was necessary for this event.

Interesting point...I have actually concluded that without "God" nothing can exist. And since "God" is in everything "God" cannot be created. Here is a link that explains: http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=9CB2FJNU Also I have found the right triangle is the fundamental shape that allows a finite universe and an infinite "God". Some people would think this is a universalist view but if you read Biblical texts you will find "God" is in everything and wants to show "God's" nature with the finite part of "God", so that we may have unity with "God". So we can know "God".

No one person can tell the turth, because it is brainteaser and puzzle. even if we get the consensus, the turely reason isn't unreveal due to not be adjudicated. Do you think so?

I agree that it is difficult sometimes to find truth, but I believe that truth does exist, we just need to seek truth. Truth cannot be relative because then our universe would not be able to exist. The laws of physics, chemistry, and other areas are all truth because they cannot be anything else. If we had a relative world then we would not be able to accomplish anything. We can seek truth and find it. The Bible is the one book I have found that has more truth than any other book. In a court room when someone is being tried as guilty there needs to be sufficient evidence for accusing them as the true convict. The same goes for finding truth when there is sufficient evidence. Thanks for your post:) What do you think now?

I have thought about Aliens and if they exist. I would love to talk about Aliens haha! The internet is really hard to find true information. You have to check your sources to see if the people know what they are talking about. I have also found websites about Aliens but most of them are just theories with no supporting evidence.

haha,I agree with you.It is existing from ancient times to the present and that is turth to me.but the current people don't believe this ,especially to government politician . In the fact, the government politician have communicated with ALIEN from out-space planet. That is concluded by authority. We can grip some document about alien by internet. Some times, I talk some one about Alien and then the person could laught me to believe me to be naive ,though I am 29 old.So I don't talk that to any one again. haha,so I said that 'even if we get the consensus, the turely reason isn't unreveal due to not be adjudicated. what a pity!No one believe that.
