My experience with Cha Cha. What's yours?

I was watching Ellen clips on my computer when I heard her say something about a service called Cha Cha. Basically you can text cha cha or 242242 and ask them a question. You will get a text back with a answer. The service is free but it does state that messaging and data rates may apply. I have used this service a few times and I like it. I don't like the jokes they provide though. I have asked them a few different questions about different topics. Their response is usually pretty good, although at times can be slow. I even saved the number in my phone so that it is easier to send a text message. You will occasionally receive text ads but I just ignore them. Not all of my answers have gotten a good response answer that I had wished for. Although being a free service I think it is "cool" and good for people needing a answer to a question. It's good for people that hate searching on the internet or just need a quick answer. In one of my text it said something about becoming a cha cha guide. So I went to cha cha website. I had to fill my information out, watch a few training videos, and complete a test. A few days later I had received a email stating that I had failed the test. So now I cannot become a cha cha guide. I am somewhat disappointed but life will go on. I don't know what to think about the cha cha guides because I did research on the internet and half the people said that they were paid a decent amount of money and others said not to waste your time. The website looked legit and professional to me. You can only take the test once so I am a little bummed. A cha cha guide is someone who logs on to the website and answers questions to the people sending text questions to cha cha service. ChaCha website helps you answer the questions with previously answered questions and answers in their databases. Or you can send it to someone else called a specialist or generalist. Their are different levels within the program. So basically I like the service but don't expect a good answer to every question. In my opinion this is what happens: you send a question and if the guides cannot find an appropriate answer to your question, you basically get a answer that only relates to your question doesn't answer it. You can try rewording or rephrasing the question but usually that doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm not good at rephrasing or rewording it. On the other hand becoming a guide for them I don't know what to think. Any experiences or thoughts about ChaCha?

My oldest daughter uses cha cha all the time. When she first found out about it...she was texting cha cha every chance she got..lol...she would ask me something and when I would answer her she would say....I'm going to ask cha cha. I thought cha cha was a new friend at school at first..lol..I was worried that she was consulting with this cha cha way too much. I asked her about cha cha one day and she explained to me what it was. I think it is a nice resource provided the answers are properly researched and presented.

ChaCha, as a "customer" (although not paying), can be totally helpful..It can also totally misdirect you and not answer any of the questions you're trying to figure out. It depends on the guide and how clearly you state your question as well as how readily available the information is for the guide to find online. Obscure questions or rhetorical ones..Well, you're not going to get the answer you're looking for. Sometimes it takes several tries to get them to send you a correct answer, but hey, it's free - so why not? I "worked" for ChaCha for a few months this year..And it awesome! I got kicked off a couple of months ago due to poor quality ratings, however, from between about June of this year to early September - I made about $530, which was totally sweet and helped me out a lot with paying bills and whatnot. It was seriously the best online earning program/site that I've ever used. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get to do it longer, but hey, what can you do? lol.

That is better than anything I have ever tried. At the most I made about $100 a month. Possibly a little over than that. Sorry you got kicked out of their system. I wish I could take the test over again. I don't really understand why I failed it. I watched the videos and took notes. I thought I did everything that I was suppose to do. Thanks for your response.

I'm doing the sign up process now and I am really nervous that I wont pass the test and after reading all these peoples bad luck with chacha getting rid of them I am worried that I will start relying on that income and then lose it as well. Hopefully I at least pass the test and earn some money!

I have been enlightened because I had never heard of ChaCha before today! It sounds good provided the answers are properly researched and accurate. I cannot join because it is currently for US citizens only but if that ever changes I may try it!

I did ChaCha back in 2008 and made a good amount of money, but they've changed the payment system since then and I don't think you earn enough money in comparison to how much you put in. I like earning money online but not if I'm making less than minimum wage to work. I'd suggest taking the test to be a KGB text answerer, as I find it to be more consistent money.

I was a ChaCha guide for about six months. I did really well, had a high quality score and put alot of time and effort into it. I got canned for no apparent reason at all. The deleted my account without warning and was given one week to have the money I earned on to my ChaCha card. ChaCha gives out bad answers because of the way their system is set up and the laziness of the guides.
