To jailbreak or not to jail break?

I am planning to buy a ps3 in the coming days, the only problem is should I jail break it or not? There are some pros and cons of having it jail break and not. One of it is that it can connect to the internet and play multiplayer online. So should I jail break it or not and why?

The only thing I enjoy playing on my ps3 is online multiplayer, so I would advise you not to, unless your not into playing online.

Does the ps3 work on wi-fi? I also want to play online but the games can be quite expensive for me. I don't mind buying 2nd hand games but I do not know where to buy some
