hi friends. just read an article about the guy who is preparing the pitches for this test series and said he was given orders to create pitches which offers bounce but no spin whatso ever. well you can't blame them for doing that but what will be the response of the indians? will they go with the usual combo of zaheer, harbhajan, ojha and ishant on a pitch which may not assist spinners? or will they go for zaheer, ishant, sreesanth and bhajji?

I think a single specialist spinner for team India will do the job.As the wicket will assist the fast bowlers it would be better to have three fast bowlers and one spinner. Also there are so many part time bowlers in team India who can bowl well according to the situations and they are good partnership breakers too.Indian team is having a good batting line-up on which they can really rely upon.

I think India should go with 3 seamers and a spinner. Sreesanth,Zaheer,Ishant/munaf and Bajji as the pitch offers more bounce. We know usually SA pitches are good for the Seamers than to Spinners. . After looking the pitch if the captain feels it has something which offers Spin ,then he can choose,2 seamers and 2 spinners.

in south african conditions it is wise to go with three seamers but ojha has been bowling well too. india has been going in with two seamers and two spinners so that should be the combo they should stick to this time as well. i do not believe that the pitch will not provide bounce. all pitches are mostly either batssman friendly or bouncy and in both cases it makes sense to use two spinners. if the pitch is batting friendly then there is no use going in with three seamers. and if there is bounce in the wicket the indian spinners can make use of it to trouble the batsmen.

India must play three fast bowlers like Zaheer, Ishant and Sreesanth. Bhajji will be the lone specialist spinner. There are many part time spinners in the team. They can bowl well and pick up crutial wickets. There is no need to play two spinners leaving a fast bowler. The pitch will be fast and there will be no turn so we need to take wickets with pace. Three fast bowlers will be good for team India

Yes Centurion pitch will have some grass and it wont be dry at all to assist the spinners. That was quite obvious as South Africans dont play well against spinners and Indians play very well against spinners. I think they will go with Zak,Sreesanth , and Ishant along with Bhajji in all three test matches until and unless someone among these gets injured .

2 spinners in south Africa? yaa ,only if we had shane warne, kumble or murli, even than they would have struggle to get wickets on first 3 days.In southafrica you attack with pace for pace, thats the best strategy.
