My friend loss his girlfriend. No she is not dead. She left him. He says he does not love her anymore. He makes this person up to torch her. Yet when somebody starts hitting on her he jumps up to protect her. the person is 26 and has a history of smoking weed in the past plus he does have a drinking problem. What kind of mental disorder does this person have.

Sounds like he is going through a normal break up. He hates her yet doesn't want anyone else to have her. Sounds like he has some things to work through but not mental illness. You should help him talk about his loss and help him move on.
