Do you think email communications is worse than communicating by regular mail.? Do you think the postal service sees less mail now then before the usage of email?

Postal service really cut to 50% or more as we use email. This is really sad for them you know. There's a possible cut off employee as well. Since postal mail is fading as a tool of service.

Postal Service was a step up from the Pony express when things had to be delivered by pony or horse ..however.. or by telegraph.. I think some day .. sending letters through post office will become obsolete...do you?

Well I think that email is the current way of sending mail and although snail mail is not being used that much anymore for personal messages it is still used by those that are unfamiliar with using a computer such as grandparents or elders that just never grew up using computers and feels more comfortable using a pen and paper and mailing it the good old fashioned way.I use email primarily and it is great for instantly sending messages to friends and family and I still send tings like Christmas cards and birthday card the old snail way mail as it seems more personal.

I don't know too many people who haven't got a computer in the house.. Do you? The very old time folks, way up there in 80's or 90's may not have a computer..but they also are not writing letters...agree?

I prefer to commnicate emails than the regular mails. As it is free of charge and the emails will be sent instantly. I am impatient to wait or send the regular mail. Especially its working hours is as well as mine and it is difficult for me to go there to just send a mail. I love China

Emails are easier to save. .and when you are writing an email ..its easier to erase your mistake; so long as you haven't already sent it off:) JOy

The postal service is an evil, vile thing that just gets worse from each passing year. So if they get less mail and more people are using e-mail and the Internet for their communication, they only have themselves and themselves alone to blame. although to be fair, I've only had something get lost in the mail once this year, but that is still one time too many. I think that e-mail is a better alternative, because you can send it out quickly. Plus with the postal service, there is no guarantee that it would get there a lot of the time. E-mail is quick. Plus you don't have to waste a stamp to send some communication when you can just send an e-mail and maybe strike up a short conversation over e-mail. Maybe in the Postal Service got their act together, I would be more inclined to use them, but I doubt that's going to happen.

They are forever raising the cost of stamps.. You would think they would lower the price so that people would consider using the long way of writing..but it's not necessary to hand write letters any more.

I think they probably see more mail now than before email, because even though people are writing less letters, they are ordering more online, so more deliveries, there are more companies now sending out more junk mail so I dont think the postmans bags are getting any lighter. I like email for instant communication, however when it comes to work or anything official I would rather normal post, because I prefer to have any official communication on paper. I have become so alert about email scams that I simply dont trust anything official that gets sent to me by email.

It's so much easier to do emails.. then write a letter..put in envelope and place stamp..How many trees we save by not using paper.
