God's given talent

Each and every one of us has talents and skills given by God. Unfortunately some of us does not use these properly and does not develop these to the fullest. Two weeks ago I have seen in T.V. a sporting activity conducted by differently-abled persons (those who are on wheelchair). I was amazed by their courage to play and to provide entertainment to people around them despite their situation. This has made me realize and ponder how fortunate I am to have good health and talents. It made me also think of how can I develop and use my talents and skills in serving God and my community. How about you my fellow myloters? Have you started using your skills and talents in serving God and your community? I would love to here your point. Thanks.

I don't serve God! I never have and never will! He is not helping me with my problems! He ignores me when I need him the must! So I am very angry at Him! So I do all things on my own! I can only help myself because Him refuses to help me! I don't care about other people's talents, even if they are handicap! I shouldn't but I get this way when I get depressed! I become self-centered and could care less about other people! So where is God when this happens to me? No where! Where is He? Why does he help people who don't need help? Why does He do this to be? I can't share my skills if He doesn't help me discover them? Why do so many people think God is the answer? God is not the answer! Believe me He isn't!

I've read your reply regarding this matter,in my point of view try to understand this.Do you think where does your needs came form?who provides it?who gives you strength while at work or everyday living?Maybe you can say that its all your strength but who gives you life?Sometimes the reason that's why we didn't feel that God is not with us it is because we people forget him and we are the one who makes a way to get far from him, when you pray for a problem and he didn't answer it it doesn't mean that he will not help you it means he has a better plan or answer for that situation and all i can say is try to get close with him and always trust him in many ways...try to analyze the things that will make you understand regarding on what you've said...

Hi blue65packer. I understand your side because I have been through that same situation. One thing we should remember is that we as human can never fathom the mind and plan of God. Regarding prayer that are not answered, try to ask yourself whether you had faith in God when you said those prayers. As we read in the Bible in the gospel of Matthew 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive". We see that it requires belief in order for our prayers to be answered. I have experienced many times that my prayers were not answered and as I look back it was because I lack faith and belief during those times. God always proves his existence and most of the time in an unexpected ways. Having the chance to read this discussion maybe a call from God that you renew your faith and trust in him. Seeking God and the truth is not an easy task, its not just a walk in the park, sometimes it entails sacrifices, but when you find God it is really worth it. To find the truth may not necessarily attending a church or any religion, you can find God by seeking him yourself. You can start by spending just at least 2 minutes of your time in the morning to think and thank God for giving you another day. Most of all you can find God by reading the Bible. Ask God first to send you the Holy Spirit, as the Holy Spirit will guide you in understanding the Holy Bible and the things around you. God bless you and your family always.

Yes, so many times we strive for easy or to stay in our comfort zone. Few things worthwhile come easy. We are all much more capable than most realize. Let's not be afraid to really get out there and show God what we are really capable of.
