I would recommend eating fatty foods like ice cream and fast food and junk food. It's not really healthy but it will cause you to gain weight. One of my friends has always been underweight. Only when she got pregnant with her two kids did she gain weight. Then after the births she lost it all again. Maybe go on birth control. A lot of birth control pills will cause weight gain because they mimic pregnancy.

You should like being Asian. I do. Wow, BMI of 16 is really low. I'm not sure if I've ever been underweight. Maybe once as a child just from looking at photos. You could also do a sport like gymnastics. I gained a lot of weight from doing that (muscle mass) in high school. It won't help with the fat issue though.

I think your weight should match to your height. you didn't mention your height so I can't tell if you are underweight or not. Still you have asked for th tips to increase the weight so I will tell you that start eating banana with milk in the morning. You can take 2 bananas with a glass of milk(200ml). Make a routine to take it. Like one friend already mentioned don't drink water with your food. Try to wait for one hour after taking food. You can also drink the water one hour before taking the food. Always eat to your content, chew food to tiny parts before sending it to your stomach. Do exercise daily but also but don't do heavy exercise and try to slow down your every activity. If you do push ups then try to do it slowly. Don't make fast movement because it doesn't help you with gaining weight.

hi sissi! we are both in the same age, but my weigh plays 46 to 48 kilos. but having 42 kilograms, you are really thin. have you gone to check your BMI (body mass index), if the result would be below normal, then you should seek your doctor. maybe, its because of your metabolism that you cant even get fat. or maybe, there where inside of your body system that triggers you from getting fat. better consult your dietician too with this matter. :)

Dear Sissi You have't mationed your height. however, if you want to increase your weight then you must have to following points carefully. 1. try to eat leter faster then your nature speed 2. avoid drinking water at the time of eating, drink water after 45 mintus. 3.avoid eating to much fat as it can harm your leaver. 4. try to empower the health of your leaver-the best option is through vegetables and Ayurveda-use as much radish and you can. 5. make a ninety days calender for increasing weight and record your weight after every seven days. keep in touch sarojparag@gmail.com

We share the same problem. I've tried the same way as you did. Exercise, much eating. I'm 19 and the biggest weight I've ever reached was 43 kg and that was during my job training days. That's because the company where I took my training was a milk factory where milk is totally free. I used to drink 6 glasses a day. But when my training was over, my weight reduced again into my "regular" weight which is 40kg. So now I'm drinking milk again hoping it'll help to increase my weight again. Some of my friends adviced me to take vitamins with iron but I haven't tried it yet.

If you want professional advice I suggest you seek a dietitian or nutritionist for healthy means of gaining weight unless you can find one on here for free. If you are looking for slow weight gain I would suggest consuming items with a little bit higher carbs. Carbs are stored into fat if you don't use them all. So indulge in a little bit more carbs and see where things go from there. DO NOT OVER INDULGE OR RESTRICT YOURSELF TO AN ALL CARB DIET! That is NOT healthy!

I was always skinny most of my life. I couldn't seem to get over 160 pounds and my forearms were skinny and that didn't help with my appearance when I wanted to look bigger. I have always been active outdoors and worked out every now and again but I did so much regular physical work and my metabolism is so fast that I just couldn't gain weight no matter how much I ate. Finally I went to the GNC store and got me some of the bulk weight gainer and added a protein supplement to it and mixed it in the blender for a shake before working out. I started with pushups and gradually got to where I was doing about 35 to 40 at a drop but the secret is to do many different sets a day so you are doing several hundred pushups a day. I also got a bowflex from my brother in law and use it also. Eating a lot of wheat, bread, protein, and amino acids is essential as well as multi-vitamins. Just make sure you work out in some way while taking this stuff and eating more or it will go to your stomach if you don't exercise with it. I went from 160 lbs. to 210 in just a few months and I love it. Now if somebody bumps into me I don't bounce off they do!! It is a great feeling getting your body solid and healthy. You can come up with your own exercise routine just read about some different work out ideas and pick the ones that will strengthen the areas you want to work on. Then make out a schedule and stick to it. You don't have to get crazy and overdo it, just stick to a routine and you will start to see results you can be proud of in just a few months. Just be steadfast and give it a chance. There are many fitness and health websites with great tips and also magazines on building up your body that will show you some great exercises that really work. As far as getting fat or putting on weight quick eat a lot of bread, wheat, and protein but temper it with healthy foods like seafood and use some of the weight gain products from the GNC health food stores. Take it from me it works. I thought I would never gain weight because I ate a lot of everything until I started with what I have told you about and it has worked great and made me feel so much better about myself.

The problem with You may be genetic, just Your metabolism is much stronger and burn fat much faster than others. To increase Your body mass should increase the number of meals per day( not quantity for each individual meal). Foods with more carbohydrates that You can deliver rice, baked potatoes, roasted nuts, chicken, etc. like substitutes.

I suggest trying to eat as much dairy and carbohydrate rich food. Drink lots of full creme milk! Eat lots of rice, have full meals with lots of meat. After every meal lie down or sit on the couch. Don't walk to work, and don't exercise either. Though I don't think this would be a good idea :( If your genetically skinny, I would not recommend going against that!

I'm not a doctor, but I heard many people say that they grow fat when they take vitamins. It seems that vitamins help in this case and yours too. So try a complex of vitamins for a period of time and see. But do not forget to consult a specialist too. Thin people may have other health problems that must be treated.

Congratulations! Why I say this because being fat is not healthy. I'm a mild obese and it's so hard to trim weight. Being thin is something you can be proud of. When you're fat you'll be barraged by different illness. Complications arises when you're fat so if I were you, I would be happy if I have a body weight like yours.

Have you tried drinking protein shakes? Some of my friends have had good experiences gaining weight by drinking them in between meals. You can get stuff like slim fast and use it as a regular drink, or you can get mix and make the protein shakes yourself. One of my friends even mixes the protein stuff with ice cream and makes a milkshake like drink, they seem to really enjoy it. Plus, if you exercise while drinking protein shakes, you can build muscle tone.
