Hello fellow mylotters. It is very cold where I am, and we had a good amount of snow yesterday. I have to go out in this. I do not want to drive my car, it acts up and I don't want to be stranded someplace, but I must go. I do not want to go out. According to the weather report it is 10 degrees F. I don't think that includes the windchill factor. My tires may be froze to the ground for all I know. While it was snowing yesterday, it was above freezing so we had slushy streets. I'm worried I am frozen in my spot! Do you mind going out in cold weather? Does it bother you to have to dress up to stay warm while you go to your destinations? Do you dislike driving in cold weather? What would you rather do instead of having to go someplace when it is very cold?

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. Today (right now) it is -8 with a low of -14 F. I don't know what the wind chill is, but luckily it's not too windy out. Where abouts are you? Sounds like you are experiencing winter in it's prime LOL. I am over in Minnesota *of the U.S.* and already, even though Winter is not even technically begun (Dec 21st), I am totally sick of it. We just had a huge snow storm.. And a cold front that has brought us into negative tempatures for the rest of this week. I hate being cold, I am always unprepared, I hate driving in the snow and ice... It's a mess. And the worst part is this happens each and every year - I have lived in Minnesota my whole life and it seems as though I never really LEARN how to actually COPE with Winter. lol.

lol! My goodness, it is much worse in Minnesota than here in MI. Here I am whining and carrying on and your poor self has to deal with minus zero temperatures. We got some of that storm here, but it wasn't a lot. It sure seemed like a lot watching it coming down from the window. It seemed like it would never end! Very pretty, I like when it snows. Usually we get a lot of cold, a little snow, it warms up to melt the snow into ice, then evaporates and it is just cold and ugly outside. I just hate going out in it, except on Christmas and New Years. It is supposed to snow then. I hope you can keep warm and cozy, and you do not have to go out much in the winter time. Honestly, I could not cope with that cold of winter every year! We usually don't get minus temperatures alot. If we do, it does not last. And usually you send it to us! lolol.

Today is a lot like Minnesota. In the teens and the windchill takes us below zero. It will be like this during the DAY for several days. OUCH! December is normally warmer than this.

Oh, I really dislike going out in the snow too! I dislike it especially, because I really don't have the appropriate winter wear. I think I would like to have snow pants, a nice warm coat, boots and some mittens to keep me warm. If I had those things, it wouldn't be so bad being outside in the cold and snow. You can carry sand or kitty litter in your car if you are afraid of getting stranded somewhere. Oh yes, I dislike driving in this weather too, especially the blinding snow!

Thank you for your response. I don't know anyone who does like to drive in it. O, wait..........now I remember some crazy woman years ago who loved to drive in the snow! Her car didn't get stuck or spin and she loved to drive and show off how well her car handled the weather. Even did donuts in parking lots! That crazy woman was me..................... My, how time changes things. I don't have a car that handles well so I dread driving, but I hate driving now anyway. It is no longer fun for me. The getting dressed and making sure to bundle up to go out and sit in a cold car is not my idea of fun or comfort. You do need gloves or mittens, a warm coat, boots and warm pants (even jeans are good to fend off the cold)

Hello friend, i don't like to go out too, never mind what is the weather Let me now explain what i mean ... I don't like the moments before going out - all the preparing, the shower, picking clothes or so on. I like do to stuff when i want to do them. So for me doesn't matter what is the weather, for me it matters only what is my own mood. If i have to do something outside of home, i'll do it, but will plan that from the past day, this is how i'll control myself when to pick clothes, when to take a shower and everything else. Unfortunately i can't drive, we don't have car so i have no experience in that, but if i could drive for sure it wouldn't be pleasure to drive in the snow.

There are times I dread just getting ready to go out like you. I tire of having to shower every day. I do, but I just don't look forward to it. Putting on lotion, deodorant, brushing teeth, makeup, etc. is just not fun. Having to do all this in preparation to go out in the cold and snow is even worse. At least it is sunny out, so that makes it much better than a cloudy cold day. Happy Mylotting!
