Hi friends, In my current company we have a standard to include this line in email signature "Please consider the environment before printing this email". I have included this line in my office id Signature and today added same line to my personal email signatures. I believe including this line will help environment, may be people will think twice before printing this email. That way we can contribute to the environment. it does not take much to do, just one time job Is there anything similar added to your email signature? Thank You.

Hi Ajay Singh Baghel: I think that's a great idea. Specially because, as you have mentioned on this subject, people usually forget that we use paper on things that you don't really need to use it. Basically we should stop printing things that we don't really need to have on physical paper. If we can read an email online why should we print it. I totally agree with you. Thanks for starting this discussion. Have a nice day and Merry Chistmas. ALVARO

yes, everyone should start using electronic bills instead of paper bills. If we read this line in the email, probable will think about it and a bit contribution towards environment. Wish you too Merry Christmas, may this year be the best one for you. Thank You for sharing.

i receive this kind of email as well in the past when i was still working... they always put this line on the email to remind people to save paper and in turns to save the environment... they even go as far as sending my payslip by email instead of paper like in the past to save paper... take care and have a nice day...

I also get only electronic format salary slip and print that only of required to present it. It is a good way of saving papers. Thank You for sharing.

Hi, thanks for a very useful post. I have been involved in a few organizations and did activities related to saving the environment, but I haven't really thought of including this valuable message in my e-mail signature. I will start doing that from today. Thanks so much for your advice. Cheers!

I don't have a real life signature like that, but I practice it. I don't print out near what I used to. I help the environment but I also save my own paper and ink! I'm about saving both really!

It's actually pretty nonsensical. Often those lines actually end up on the second page so when they print they get two sheets. Pretty counter-effective, I'd say.

If someone is realy concerned and truly want to support this cause, can find if the lines would be properly visible and one can read it before printing. Just hope that people read it before printing Thank You for sharing.
