Ive been selling part time on ebay for quite some time, though this last year I have defiantly stepped up my efforts in an attempt to build up a bit of an extra slush fund to use when we move in the next couple months. The first piece of advice I can give you is start off slow, do your research, are you going to sell stuff you acquire locally or are you going to be buying from wholesalers or closeout stores, etc. Make sure to check out each of your potential distributors prior to buying any merchandise and again make sure to research anything you plan on buying especially if your buying in bulk. You want to make sure there is strong demand for what ever it is your buying so your not stuck with a bunch of useless merchandise 6 months from now. The next thing youll want before you list any auctions is to open and verify a paypal account. Paypal can be a pain to work with but they are a trusted payment processor and honestly even though they can be a pain they do the things they do to protect everyone involved in the transactions you make. And last and finally the only other advice I can give is to carefully describe each and every listing you put up and be ready and willing to answer any questions that come up. The key with ebay is being honest, shipping quickly and always keeping communication open between you and your buyers.

It sure is, excellent advice. I'm mostly a buyer but when I've decided to sell something, I've learned something new everytime, one of the things I won't do again, deal with third party suppliers I don't know, got ripped off a couple of times already.
