item not arrived

I love buying and selling on ebay and have been doing it for quite a while but in the last month something happened to me that hasnt before. An item did not arrive although the seller said he had posted it. Anyway it was all kept friendly and he refunded me the money. Then the day he refunded the money the item was sent back to him. Luckily it had his name and address on it but my name and address damaged. Anyway he offered it to me again a bit cheaper so everyone happy. BUT has anyone had this happen to them and you feel as if the seller, any seller, would have difficulty believeing that you did not have it and were trying to have the goods and a refund. Then the other side is you the buyer think the seller hasnt sent it and just wants the money. It is so bad, that is why I am so pleased this turned out well. Better it was returned to him than sent to me and I would have had to tell him I had suddenly received it after I had got the refund. How would you feel. I still love ebay and buying and selling though!

I love Ebay too, I can find almost anything that I need to shop. and I also love their buyer protection wherein there refund the money if the item was not sent. I sm happy to hear that all things went smoothly within your previous transaction. I encountered a problem similar to yours before.I bought Harry Potter books but I did not receive it after many days of waiting I tried to contact the seller regarding the problem but she was not responding. I report the problem to Ebay and after a day or two the seller emailed me saying that It was her son who used her account and she does not know anything about the product, she refund my money which I am happy but I am disappointed with her negligence. I was really anticipating the books for many days. But that incident did not taint my loyalty to Ebay. I am still buying from ebay.plus I also earned from cashbacks.

I'm with you, love eBay, I'm more of a buyer than a seller. Once I bought a PS2 video game and got it in a paper sleeve, not the original protective box ... it arrived broken I told the seller, he offered to send me another one or provide a refund, no questions asked, that was so great, right away I got my issue resolved. No major problems I've encountered, at least as a buyer. As a seller I've learned the hard way how to deal with different types of customers, my mistake was to do business with third parties who I didn't knew, not doing it again.

When purchasing items online I try to buy from only guaranteed and secured sites. I have always had positive experiences through ebay. The sellers I've dealt with have been helpful with questions and I do ask questions about items before bidding or buying. Other than ebay I use well known and proven sites.

HI MAll, That's one problem with online shopping that's bugging me. I have been doing online shopping for quite sometime but I haven't made a single purchase yet. For one thing, I am not sure if the item is the one I paid for. Another thing is can it be delivered to me at all? The advantage of actual purchase from a store is the chance to get hold of the item before paying for it and not the other way around. I think I'll have to stick to my conventional shopping ways for now.

It didn't happened to me yet but I almost got fooled by a seller but not ebay. I love buying cosmetics and stuffs online especially when it comes to US branded stuffs, luckily I didn't pay her yet and i found out about her scam earlier.
