Two faces of JUSTICE!

As I woke up around 11:00 in the morning that was the time that I just heard the news on the radio and shocked that Hubert is now free! It was actually my dad's birthday then when we were having lunch he himself was really disappointed about the justice here as well as he told us that he will be praying and hoping that the children of the of Chief Justice must be also killed and raped so that they would realized how it feels. OMG! that is not a good prayer but cursing. Sounds like this issue is ALIVE again after 2 decades. Wherein fact I am always seeing Freddie Webb at Slimmer's World in Pasay Road and Fitness First at Mall of Asia as I could really felt that there was no fuss about it that I saw him and just came to my mind that he is a previous Senator and he has son that is a killer but no big deal since the issue was not popular anymore during that time, I mean it was just part of history. I even remember that time that there was a member from Slimmer's World who have hand-shaken with Freddie as she was introduced herself and asking something about her familiarity on for Webb. But now I am wondering of how will people look at him if in case he would be going back to Fitness First and I am guessing if he would make Hubert to be a member. I just watched the "Dalawang Mukha ng Hustisya" (Two faces of justice) by Che-Che Lazaro about the life of Vizconde and Webb. When I saw and heard Lauro about his reactions and experiences after he knew that his family were gone while exposing his home in BF Homes ParaƱaque including the bedrooms where the crime scene happened I was about to cry but then of course I tried my best to stop it. It was really saddening to hear his case that justice refuses him. And I actually agreed on him that his family was like killed twice. Then my Dad just butt in that he thinks he must be died so that his suffering is ended and he must stay away from his house so that he can moved on. Well I didn't butt in but I think his opinion was wrong. Maybe Lauro is now suffering but I totally believe that God has reasons for this kind of challenges and also believing that he may be having justice in different ways. Of course I can't explain it now but then I am hoping that there will be. It also saddens me when I saw their photos and thinking about Jennifer as well that she is too young to die and supposed to be she is now 27 years old. I heard from Lauro that his daughter Carmela has many suitors during her college years which she even told him that one of her suitors was a son of politician. I am even wondering that how pretty she is during her college days that she has many suitors or if she is not that so beautiful at least she may have the best appeal that can really attract everybody. My mom even told me that one of my cousins is a friend and classmate of Carmela in UST. Another saddening part here was that when Lauro was approached that he must be here in Manila because of the emergency he even bought some staffs like Barbie doll for Jennifer and other things for the family. Then he was surprised that his family didn't fetch him from the airport. I could imagine myself on his shoes that I would feel like dying as well because of what happened. I think it is just right to stay at home where the crime scene happened so that he would still feel the presence of his family. I think he have already moved on before especially when the suspects found guilty expecting that they will be all rotten inside the jail. But now how could you moved on? That even the justice have also died. On the other hand I have no sympathy for the Webb even the fact I heard on how they suffered. Hubert as being a down to earth and a good samaritan gives no fuss about it because every people can make it on different ways. There are some points on their statements that made me laughed like how people treated them differently. Especially when they have mentioned that during the time that Jason was still a basketball player in DLSU then it happens that the game was going on people are cheering VIZCONDE! VIZCONDE! VIZCONDE! My mom and I laughed on it then I told my mom that I think the students from Ateneo were the one who did that. Of course I am not sure about it but it is already the usual that it is always about La Salle vs. Ateneo basketball game. It was even featured about Hubert's first days inside the jail then there were people who screamed like "Manyak!" "Manyak yon!" (maniac). My mom and I were talking about the evidences that they were claiming especially the duration that Webb was in America. I just don't believe about the specimens that were lost but definitely the NBI purposely trashed it. I also heard the side of Freddie Webb about the consequences that happened to him while his son was inside the jail like he have lost his candidacy as a Senator. He have stated that he was been a busy person in other country when Hubert was still here in the Philippines. Or as I understand he was not able to give attention much for the kids including Hubert. I just realized that it can be his challenge as well that it is time for him to give attention for his family and take care of it though another way or different way. God knows the truth! They may have won on this world which we are only having the temporary living but good luck for the other challenges. So what will be the next INJUSTICES that will happen? The Maguindanao massacre? Murder case of Jason Ivler though I doubt if it is possible for a fact that the victim is a son of government official.

Hi my good friend! First, I was surprised, though not so surprised when I saw your topic title, "Two Faces of Justice." I can definitely point out what your discussion will contain and I was right. It was yesterday's best news scoop. Second, I have to butt in here not to make a contradiction of what you have said, rather to approve and applaud you for that usual lengthy discussion of yours. Indeed, I can see that you made a close contact with the Webb's and I cannot blame you for taking the side of Mr. Lauro Vizconde, who I also sympathize now. I sympathize him because he was hopeful that in his battle for truth, he would finally get it and can move on at last. But his hope turned to discouragement and disappointment. The Superior Court had decided acquitting the culprits after more than 15 years of battle. When the question was who raped Carmela? Hubert was absolve of such because his alibi was that he was then in the U.S..If that is so, who have killed them? If those accused were acquitted, what comes next? Will Mr. Lauro still hopes for justice? More than 15 years is not enough for his lose of a family. If I be in his shoes, it would be very hard to continue and start another battle seeking for justice. I think, after this blast decision, it has to be the government who will already take the initiative to seek justice for Mr. Lauro's lose. Let us spare him what he deserves. To forgive the culprits is one thing, and to forget what had happened is another thing. Mr. Lauro may open his eyes and forgive the people who may have done the tragic incident to his family. But justice is still his right which he can hold back. Further, what is more disappointing is that, the Justices have not done their job. Upon learning that 4 Justices had abstained. The only words that came out to my mouth is "What the Heck!"...I have a high respect to the Justices because I dreamed to be one someday. Yet, i lost that high respect for them because they did not do their job.

Yes, i truly sympathize Mr. Lauro's plea. I just hope it is not yet late for him to find the REAL culprits. However, as I was thinking about the law issue, what if the acquitted are the real culprit? Double jeopardy will be their defense. Hence, if the acquitted are not the culprits, the DOJ should investigate now while the case has not prescribed. I say so because criminal offenses have a prescription of 20 years.

That is the reason why I truly believe to Pnoy that "THERE IS NO RECONCILIATION WITHOUT JUSTICE!" I am actually wondering if how could he moved on now that he is too old to seek for what is right and justice. I am hoping that God will help him to find the truth and not taken him away from earth because I think Lauro's duty and responsibility on earth right now is to find the whole truth. I am hoping that there would be a big miracle about his case.

Justice in the Philippines is only for the rich people, and that's is the reality. For the poor and middle class people there is no justice at all. Yes,next will be acquitted is the Maguindanao Massacre case.

Another sad part here and yet VERY ALARMING that rich people can now kill other people especially who are innocent since they could easily win.

Just like the court decision about Hayden Kho that was overshadowed as if it was not been in a national issue same to Vizconde.

I hope God will help Mang Lauro to find the whole truth. He has so much burden already for this kind of situation.
