India has a good pace attack in the one day internationals with zaheer khan, pravin kumar and ashish nehra. but can the same be said about the test attack in the absence of zaheer khan, there are reports that doubt the fitness of zaheer khan. will the pace attack be hampered without zaheer khan. how effective do you think the pace attack would be if zaheer khan is unable to play in the first test match?

I think without Zaheer Khan it is very weak. In that condition we need one or two fast bowler having swing ability in both way and with that speed is too essential......

Zaheer can become fit before the match. Somehow, if he fails to do so then there are reserve players in the team. Three pacers Zaheer Khan, S.Sreesanth, Ishant Sharma will be the key bowlers to lead the bowling attack. Zaheer has the good leadership ability. His absense maybe felt but I don't think it will affect much because others are ametuer in international test match but they are playing IPL, ranji and other which has given experience. Zaheer could help the others with his experience but others can fill if they can able to maintain the line and length.

nothing to worry about because we do have good bowlers and good team now so we can expect good series and many of the cricketers play good cricket.

nobody knows whether zaheer is in or out but i think he will make it.if not,we still have bowlers like sree and ishant. sree infact bowled very well in absense of zaheer, taking responsibility and i am pretty sure he will be handfull whether zaheer plays or not

I think Zaheer is fit and will play the match. And if he is out it will certainly affect Indian bowling. The SA pitch supports more to pace attack,so missing a senior boler will effect in Indian bowling. Hope he will play the match

The news that Zaheer Khan may not play in the test is a big blow to Indian endeavor to win the series in South Africa. Undoubtedly Zaheer is our main spearhead for test matches although Ishant Sharma and Shree Santh are in good shape the absence of Zaheer on baller friendly wickets will be felt. I wish him speedy recovery in the interest of Indian cricket.
