As winter came my body health system slowing down. I eat less vitamins in natural food and thus i become more vulnerable to viruses around. Most of them i win by making sports workouts outside, but there is one virus which win me several times per every winter - its cold sore on lips. Today i was negative surprised after i felt that lips start to swell in place where tomorrow huge and ugly cold sore will shoe up. After work i will definitely loose few hours to search medicine gel to fight with it. Do you have cold sores at winter time? if yes, then how do you fight against them or if no, then what you eat, do to live without them?

I've had one cold sore in my life, and that was about 5 years ago - 5 winters ago! Luckily I don't seem to be prone to them. Now that I've said that of course, I'll probably get one tomorrow (knowing my luck). I have a friend who gets them like CRAZY though! They are so painful and gross.

They are painful, yes, but usually i dont get more than 3 in one winter period which is still good for me. My wife dont have them at all, but one of my sons got them the same way as me at winters. So There is people who never had them and those who have them sometimes. But for me they showing up only at winters because of cold weather and body devitaminization.

I've never had a cold sore but I have a cousin who gets them quite often. They're actually caused by the herpes simplex virus, not by the cold and not from eating less healthy foods. You pick up the virus by coming into contact with it. I think that most people are unaware of how they got this virus initially. I learned this from http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/tc/cold-sores-topic-overview There are also ways to treat a cold sore listed on this site. Good luck! I hope it heals quickly for you.

I know they are coused by virus, but that virus show up when body is weak, gets less vitamins and that happens most likely in cold weather or any weather when body needs extra energy to warm up or cool off.

Hi mate! I think cold is really inevitable during this season. Everybody can have it as we our expose to the viruses. I don't have cold right now but my little brother does. I give him multivitamins and syrup to treat his cold. I also give him juices rich in vitamin C to help him build his immunization.

I do not believe I have ever gotten a cold sore in my life, but do know people who have. I also know people who get them in the hot weather as well. The best thing I have heard that helps with this is called campho phenique. Which is suppose to give instant relief.

I think people in cold and warm weather got them because of body health changes during these times of long hot/cold periods.
