hi kayni I have a cousin whose grandfather was my dads brother so she fo found me on line and we have shared what each of us remembered from her grandfather and my uncle Will and somehow she jibed with and some surprised her. I saw him as wonderful kindly old man wp tppl m,e as a 7 year old to see a world series game in Wriggly field and then took me on longt train rides all over Chicago while my parents and other Aunts an Uncle were ate the Worlds fair of 1934, hi Kalyni I also recognize you as the wife of Profeessor too. see I did remember. welcome to mylot, this is fun having you both here. lol So as I grew older I realized Uncle Will like most people had his faults but to me any old person who takes on the care and entertainment of a shy little 7 year old is a very good old man to me now from my stand point as an elderly woman myself. I have not had much contact with her recently which partly my fault as I have been so busy here I forgot to contact her. Like me she is an unpublished writer and we both want to become published writers so we have a lot in common. we must get back in touch h. lol lol

Nice discussion! Similarly, a friend of my school days visited me a month back, to invite me on his daughter's marriage. He, after collecting my contact number and address from other friends, contacted me and reached with his spouse at the late hours of one evening! We were in the same high school before 35 years and never met then after. He works in the state police and I was also surprised to see him at once! We talked for a short while and they both departed for inviting other people! I, along with my spouse, also attended his daughter's marriage. Many of my school day mates were present there at the function and we greet all with excitement and pleasure and it is really unforgetable! We talked about many important moments of those unruly years as well as today's lives! If I write all about that, it will sure be a volume of booklet! Hope, these few lines will preserve my feelings like you here in myLot. Thanks and have nice meetings!!

It is really a heart's full satisfaction and joy to meet old friends and relatives after a lapse of such a long gap. Recently I had to go to Hyderabad and met many of my relatives after a gap of 40 years. I can understand those friends' feelings and emotions.

I have a friend from school days and we have been friends for about 55 years. She has lived most of ther adult life in another country but we have always kept in touch and we both say we are each other´s diary. We went to the same parties when we were teens, we went to college together for some time until she went to live at another country. I have had vacations with her (the last time we met in Mexico in 2006. This year she is coming in February to help out at one of her daughter´s wedding. She is now living in the US and will bring me my swimming suit for my next vacations. I will cook for her those things I know she likes best and I know we will feel that time has not passed. Now with skype we talk for hours fairly often. It wasnñt so decades ago, but we managed to write very long letters once or twice a year to keep each other posted on the important things in our lives. I can understand perfectly your husband´s happiness as I´m looking foeward to my friend´s visit in February.

hi kal, i have this high school classmate who have been calling our office asking that we meet. we have not seen for more than 18 years because he was based in the north. a common friend have informed him where i work and there i got a call. this would surely be a nostalgic meeting and we planned to ask other high school classmates to join us. i hope this materializes before he leaves again back to his work place. thank you for your discussion. have a very nice day. ann
