Hi there chad. Well, from my understanding, such panic attack happens when we are having a shock or something that could be a little harsh. Sorry kinda hard to explain in words .

No worries and you are most welcome. Wow...that's a lot of panic attack! Do you bring those brown bags along? More carbon dioxide = faster resolve as CO2 actually relaxs our body.

I can certainly relate, as I have experienced panic attacks as well. I think that a lot of it is just stress. I don't really think that there's anything to worry about. When this happens, just try to relax, if it's possible. If it doesn't get better, then you can always try and get some help. Take some yoga classes, see a counsellor, or something.

Hi Some above have even pointed out the 'the embryo position" sitting down and press knees to chesk for about 5 ,minuts . if you have any attacks try these . this may help you in your panic disorder if you have a painic attack. I hope it helps you too.

While we all know that a panic attack isn't "real", your body doesn't know it and it can most definitely be debilitating. Many people who once led normal lives can't even leave their homes for fear of having a panic attack in public. Honestly, if you find these coming on frequently enough, or if they are causing you to be unable to function (how do you explain to your boss that you can't go to that meeting because you are having a panic attack? What happens when you have to make a plane and are suddenly seized with fear that you will have one while in flight?) you should see a doctor. These incidents can be dangerous if they happen while in a car or while you are caring for a child who needs your attention immediately, just two examples of why you may need to get help. Seriously, if you can still function, these are not panic attacks. Anyone who has had a real panic attack can tell you that the fear they experience is like what they would feel if someone were really trying to kill them or that they were facing some greater danger. I've seen two friends go through the real thing, and it was terrifying to see. Both are intelligent, healthy, and successful women but when a panic attack strikes, you wouldn't recognize them. Watch your symptoms carefully and please seek help if they become a real concern.

I also get panic attacks sometimes. There's nothing to be afraid of. It's caused by stress, hectic schedule, problems and some trauma in the past, etc. When I get these attacks I just sit back with my knees pressed to my chest and stay this way for five minutes-it's called 'the embryo position' and it's the best you can do when panic comes over you. Doctors could prescribe you medicine but I don't recommend it-it leads to addiction.

Hi Too I agree with you. I have had trama in the past. I just try to take deep breaths when I feel one coming on. it helps a good deal when I feel an attack coming on. thank you , I will too try the 'the embryo position' when I get one when I am at home.
