As you all know my little Gissi (Dog) has been very sick, over the weekend I thought he was leaving me for Doggie Heaven, I sat here with him in my Arms telling him that Doggie Heaven can not have him yet' it is far to early, the Tears where pouring, my Friend Jean came to see us and she was very close to crying but kept it together for me
I hardly slept on Sunday Night, because if my Baby was going to go, I would be with him,
Monday morning I woke up and I didn't dare look at my Gissi, who was in his Bed next to mine, I was scared that he might have gone, then he snored...............my Gissi was still with me, I was so happy but sad as well because I just knew I had more fight on my Hands to make this little Man better ......I was wrong, so wrong .............I had got out of bed and left the little Fellow in his bed sleeping, when I sat down after making a coffee, he comes bouncing through straight at me which is our way of saying good morning when Gissi gets up, he will sit leaning against my Legs while I give him rubs and Kisses
He then jumped up on the Settee and covered me in Kisses, then laid down next to me and went back to sleep
I did not dare do an update as last time he went straight back to a bad way, well this has been his third Day, being bouncy cheeky and of course spoilt
But this nipping my Butt when I get up and he is on the Settee must be a new Game, as he is still doing it, he never used to, he still looks all innocent when I turn round and look at him
But, hey, he can nip my Butt all Day as long as I know my little Baby is still here with me and all his Friends that love him, that have prayed for him and kept him in their thoughts, thank you to all of you for that it has worked,
The Vet has said though if it happens again, he is to go straight in, as it could be seizures he is having
They do not have to tell me this as no matter if I see my Baby is sick he goes to the Vet, as I know it will put pressure on his sick Heart and I will not let that happen
I have also had a lot of support and help from my offline Friends here they to where awesome
Thank you everyone........Patsy your little Man in the Doggie suit is back to himself...........Moon, thank you for being on the other end of the Phone when my Boy was lying in front of me and I just did not know what to do, you gave me the strength by being there.............and all our Friends thank you thank you so much

Gaby, you and Gissi mean so much to me. I love you both so much. I know...I know some of you may say how can you love or care for someone you have yet to meet?
I DO! It's not hard at all when you "talk" to these people constantly online sharing our lives, loves, wants, needs, and worries. It easy to love people like Gaby that cares so much for others and will do anything for them that she can.
She can't afford to call her friends to talk on the phone, but she does.
She can't afford to take her baby to the vets but she does! She will do without and does many times to make sure her baby is alright. I know of many times she had no food or eating just sandwiches.
We can not be there in person for each other but we can offer support on line and through the phones and I thank God to have the friends I have online, because they are there through thick and thin. We laugh and cry together and that is what friends do.
Yes, I have several online friends that I'm very close to and consider them my family.
Thank you Gaby for the kind words and know I am here for you any time you need me. I love you to bits and I'm sending you huge hugs...

Goodness Moon, you have just brought tears to my eyes with this
To me it is nothing special to be like that, it is me like you are you but you are special, as you are the same you would go without before you see someone you love go without
But thank you for those kind words

I did not mean to make you cry. I just said how I feel and I do know that you feel the same way I do about you. We have been so close for what seems like forever. lol You are so special to me.

Well I had been wondering as you hadnt come on the IM for 2 days now SO glad to hear he is feeling better yeah!!!!!!!!!!! nip that butty GIssi!!!!!
Might be 3 days ya aint been here.

thank god at last, he is getting better. every night i was looking for posts from you on mylot, and when I was finding them,my heart was going into my boots as i was dreading bad news until i read them. what a good christmas present for all of us, our gissi is better.xx

That's excellent news re Gissi, I will keep him in my prayers though that he continues to improve. :)
Yes, I have a wonderful support system. I have 3 neighbours that know I'm struggling financially, and they always either give me food for me or for my furkids. It helps me out a great deal.
When I do need to go shopping, they offer to drive me to shops and pick me up. If I need to go to doctors, they'll offer to take me. One neighbour does my lawns for me for a fair affordable price.
If I'm too sick to do anything, and need something, they will go and buy that something for me, or if I have a package to pick up from the post office, they will collect it for me.
They are wonderful wonderful friends, and my furkids adore them also. :)

I have seen so many wonderful pictures of Gissi and I have to say that it sadden me to hear that Gissi was not doing well, but from this discussion I can read that Gissi is so loved by so many wonderful people you have in your life.
I thank you so much for updating us on his recovering. I wish you and Gissi a wonderful Christmas filled with many blessings.

Your Little Gissi is strong little guy with an angel on his shoulder I sadly know what you are going though when I was 17 I bought myself a gift a wonderful saimse cat Nikkie an he was the best friend anyone could have when I was in my accident at 20 I had to have surgery on my back an when I needed my mom the most my dad said he wouldnt have a cripple daughter so he wouldnt let my mom come see me nice huh anyway Nikkie stayed by my side constantly if i got out of bed to get a drink or whatever reason he walked right beside me an then he would sit on the floor an wait for me to go to bed an jump right beside me he sadly passed away when he was 21 an know one could understand why i miss him as much as I did an I I even heard just go get another cat I am sure it would be as good as Nikkie yes i finally got another cat not by choice i rescued a ragdoll saimse from a pitbull trainer that was trying to make the dogs mean by throwing the cats at them an had no intentions of keeping him but 8 years later i still have him but I know how you feel they are not pets they are friends an family I will continue to pray for strength for little Gissi an will keep a healing candle going for him everyday when I light it for sick friends I will remember to add his name to the list

Well I understand have you ever read the rainbow bridge someone sent it to me after Nikkie passed http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm it was so touching read it it will bring tears to your eyes

Yes, I do have wonderful friends and I am glad that you have some to depend on when Gissi gets sick. I hope and pray that he continues to fill your life, dogs are so precious and can make even the worse day of ones life feel special by just being there for you..:)

I have had Dogs all my Life, yes it breaks my Heart when they leave me but I have had their Love and Loyalty, they all brought joy and happiness into my Life, I will always have one and they where and are and will be special to me always

oh my my little ma is still having troubles but gissiis tough and I think God sees him as special just for you so he is not going to let him'leave you just yet. I am crying but most fos it is gladness that hes
'better again, wish they could transplant doggie hearts like they do humans as that would be neat for him. but right how I am so glad for both of you as maybv he will again get strengthened Its hard to type with tears in my eyes.wish I lived close so I could be of real help but all I can do is send all my prayers to you and Gissi and ask God to help us out here.Yep he is nipping you on the butt to tell you I may get sick but I am going to rise above it mom as I love ypu okay,

Patsy, you did not have to be closer, you did so much by being with us through this hard time and scary time, your little Man in the Doggie Suit says, please dry your Tears Auntie Hatley, I love you very much and I am back to me

Oh Gabs, what WONDERFUL news!!! 
When you're giving us such horrible reports on our little guy, I hold my breath every time I open the email to one of your discussions for fear it's bad news!!! I am soooo THRILLED to hear that he is his normal sassy self, yet still taking it easy!!!! 
I'm sorry I didn't get to respond yesterday; but, with the holidays & work, my days have been very hectic!!! Give our little guy a HUGE kiss from me!!!

Gabs your post brought happy tears to my eyes and a smile on my face. I am so very happy for you. I just love mylot for what it has done for lots of us. its a wonderful thing to have friends all over the world. Its a wonderful thing to know that people who you have never met in person truly care about you and what happens to you. I am so thankful for my wonderful friends here too. unless you are part of a community like this, you really don't understand. Take care Gabs, enjoy your little guy.

I do have a couple of close friends that I could call if I needed them. I am one of those for them too. We don't spend a lot of time together because we are all busy women but when the going gets tough..well...we know that we have someone to lean on.
I'm glad to hear that Gissi is hanging in there. I know this has been a very tough time for you and Gissi.

Oh, Gabs, you scared me with this discussion. I was afraid to read after the first lines. I know how it feels to look at your beloved dog while sleeping and to wonder if she really sleeps or is she gone forever.
I was glad to read that Gissi came to you bouncing, this sounds like your old Gissi again, isn't he?
