With the voters saying that they wanted to reduce Government spending should this Lame Duck Congress pay the Ombudsmen Budget or should the pass a Continuing Resolution to keep the government running for another month?
The Democrats had the opportunity since September to present a budget and now with just a few days left they are given a 1900+ page budget and needing to be passed of face a government shutdown. Such bill are always loaded up with Pork and Earmarks. Is this the way a responsible group governs?

Umm just a short response.
Okay one they of course are going to try to pass the budget so that they can make sure that they get all the stuff they want to get done. Also they need to make sure their special interest are paid off.
Now for your second part. Nope this isn't how a responsible group governs but it is when you have Republicans and Democrats governing things.

No it is not... but then the democrats can in no way be classified as a responsible group.

Sorry to rain on your parade but neither can the Republicans.

This 'group' has shirked their responsibilities for years now so why should we think that all of a sudden they are not going to continue in the same vein? They don't even talk to each other anymore. They should pass a contigency bill to keep the basic government working and leave the rest for the new congress. These guys don't have time to read a 2000 page bill between now and the end of the year. They mouth off about doing what's best for the country when the best for the country would be for them to go home and stfu. I have never been so disappointed in America as I am with this group of legislators. They just aren't listening to us. I wish there were some way to trade out the entire group.
