Blackberry Torch ~ Thoughts

Hi Everyone, I just bought the New Blackberry Torch close to a month ago. The Blackberry smart-phones have always intimidated me. When our cell phone company was bought out by AT&T my options were to accept a phone close to our existing phone. I owned the LG Chocolate Touch. I looked at the phones AT&T was going to send me for free and I didn't like my options. I liked my LG Touch phone. I began to look at the Blackberry Torch and decided the screen size would be great, I looked at it enough to decide it would be friendly and not too intimidating. Long story short, I have had the Torch for a month now and it's an AWESOME phone! There are free ring-tones you can download plus a free wallpapers and free apps! There are apps and other things you have to pay for if you decide you need those things also. Overall I am pretty happy with the phone. I have never used a Blackberry before now. I can now understand why they are so popular. What are your experiences?

Hi there! Torch is a nice phone. I am a BIG fan of BlackBerry and I am using 9700 with OS 6 (leaked version). It is definitely worth the money and never felt any phone is better than Blackberry. truly enjoying every moment using it for sure. However, I was thinking of buying torch btu since I been using Samsung Omnia for 1 year, kinda bored with touch screen. So back with QWERTY that works best. But it is really something new to have QWERTY and touch screen two in one ;)

I like having a touch screen and a key board. I had a touch screen and LOVED it. The Torch is an AWESOME phone and it's definitely the best of both worlds!

The only blackberry I have ever used was the pearl and I really didn't like it, especially the browser, as I just couldn't do anything with it at all. I don't think I would ever have a Blackberry again. The phone I have now, is a Samsung Fascinate, which is a Galaxy S phone, and it is a nice phone. My son had a Blackberry Storm, but it turned out to be a dud, as it just kept locking up on him and he just couldn't used it most of the time. He owns his own business so he needs a phone that will work. Now he has an LG Ally which is an Android phone. Might I suggest to you though, that you check reviews on the phone that you want to buy so you can see see if it is the one that really want or need. That is what I did before I bought the phone I have now. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Thanks for your response. Blackberry phones are not for everyone. I think phones are personal and everyone knows what features they want and what works best for them. I live in a small town and we don't have many choices. The transition from one company to another has been a challenge for our little service provider. I can't wait to look up your phones to see the difference. I am a gadget geek and love looking at the technology! :)
