My ip address was banned in MyCubie!!!

I was trying to log into my account as usual and when I typed all the details and gave submit, I got a message saying proxy detected and the admin has been notified. And again I tried to sign in and it said that my ip address has been banned. I did not change any settings and no one else uses my laptop other than me. I have been using the same system to log in every day and do so with the same connection. And moreover, I was active in the other sites as well. Why is it that they did not ban me, if it was a proxy as the message specified? How is it that only this site did? Could anyone help me out? I have sent a ticket to the admin. But I do not have hope that I would get a reply and I would stay banned. And what is this proxy that we are talking about here?
