Shutting the Government Down

The Dems had both houses and the presidency during the past year, but couldn't pass spending legislation until the last minute. We see through the blatant political ploy to force the Republicans to accept huge spending increases. Wouldn't it be refreshing to hear the Repubs respond, "Well, shut 'er down!"?

It would be refreshing and that's what I'd like to see done, rather than include all the pork projects that are in there now. It wouldn't be the first time that we've shut down government, and maybe, it's time to do it again.

Government certainly could not be any less efficient if it were shut down.

Hey, I'm all for shutting down congress! If they're not working, they can't spend any more of my money! There's a whole bunch of those idiots I would like to see laid off. Close the doors and send 'em home and give 'em a boot in the behind on the way out!
