Do You Have The Time To Watch Movies On Christmas Day?

Christmas is described as the most celebrated festival in the world. Talk of the preparations alone, everywhere is colorful and everybody is seems to be involved even those that are not Christians. There are so many activities too numerous to mention, depending on every individuals. But the majority of people usually use the day for dinning and winning among the extended family members and exchange of gifts. So my question is despite all these activities, do you create time for watching movies?

I still try to squeeze watching movies in my busy schedule during the Christmas season especially on Christmas day. But I often watch movies after Christmas day or a few days before it and not on the day or on the eve of Christmas. But when I was a kid, I always end up watching movies after Christmas dinner or before going to sleep.

My family and I tend to watch movies or least TV on Christmas, because after we've hugged, fed, and opened there's little else we enjoying doing as a big group. We don't need to talk, we can just stare at the screen, even if we've seem the movie/show a few hundred times.

I do try to watch movies on Christmas day. It's something that I like doing, and have fun doing. So, that's really why I try to make time.

I wouldn't say that I make time to watch movies on Christmas Day but I tend to end up watching one during the afternoon and then usually again late at night when the day is basically over and done with. But to be honest what I tend to do is set up the recorder to record all the movies which I want to watch that are shown on Christmas Day and then work my way through them when it's less hectic and I can enjoy them.

Christmas won't be Christmas for me if I didn't watch movies on Christmas Day it would be absurd!

Yes, definitely. Yet after the dining and whining what's much better to do than to spend a good ol' movie with our family, right? It's nice when you just sit back, relax and enjoy the movie with the people you love, just embracing the essence of Christmas.

There will be wonderful parties on Christmas Day, dinners, dances, family events, and many more. Yet, by the time I get back home late in the evening, I would still sit in front of the TV, relax and enjoy movies and shows about Christmas time.

No... not really. I don't see why watching movies would be important when we have so many things to do together as a family. My family gets up around 8:00... has a nice Christmas breakfast, does the final advent ceremony (lighting the white candle), reads the Christmas story, and then unwraps gifts. We go one at a time around the family circle so we can take pictures and say adequate thank-yous. This usually takes all morning, and if we feel hungry then we'll leave the last gifts unwrapped while we go on a break for lunch. If there's time afterwards, and if one of us got a movie that we really really like... then we'll watch it. But honestly... I don't see WHY you need to be making time to watch movies on Christmas. I mean... it's CHRISTMAS! It doesn't need movies to be awesome!

Yes, of course there will be time for movies. I am preparing a casserole for breakfast on Christmas morning, and we'll be waiting for the older children (grandchildren) to arrive, so we could fit in a movie before they arrive, or maybe even after. Our Christmas luncheon will be at 2pm, so there is still plenty of time for gifts, games and general chat. It is going to be the best Christmas ever!!

Christmas Day is usuallly pretty hectic at my house. I seldom have time to think let alone be able to sit and watch a movie. Other members of my family would have the time for movie watching on christmas. for me, there is just so much to do to get ready for the family holiday dinner.

Christmas is the time for bonding moments, having fun with your family and relatives, some are going shopping in malls, some are going out of town with their family. I think it depends on the one who's planning activities for christmas like fathers and mothers. If they want to go out of town they will. But some wants to watch movie with their family. In short, we celebrate christmas not just by only doing activities, we are celebrating it together with our family no matter what activity are you doing.

We usually don't plan on watching movies during christmas eve. We have a lot of foods to prepare, party and drinking and just hanging out with friends and family

Since we do not live close to family we often go to the movies on Christmas afternoon. After we have opened our gifts and eaten ourselves into a frenzy. lol. it is fun. The theatres are not crowded either.

Hey why not. Besides eat and open gifts, I can spare a couple hours of watching my favorite movies too. I would definitely spend some time during Christmas days to watch movies, and enjoy the days off.

In our country, Christmas is the busiest season. There are lots of gatherings and parties to attend to. We have to visit as many as relatives as we can. We have to spend days to shop for the gifts we give to our loved ones. So basically, watching a movie doesn't come to my mind during this season...
