Stomach and hip swelling

My husband has had vein closures and has had thrombophilibites...gets sores on his legs..and his leg has turned black. has been to many dr. all say they can't help him. now his hips and stomach are swollen. he is taking 135 mg. of water pills to relieve the water off his legs. but his stomach is getting bigger and hips. He has decreaed his food consumption....Dr. can't seem to give us any advice on what to do.

I think you should take him to the emergency room and get him some help there. Someone has to be able to do something for him, I would get a different doctor if I were you, get another opinion.

Thank you for your imput. we have changed dr. seen specialist and emergency he did recently have two staph infections in his legs.they got those cleared up but they just keep giving him water pills and the dr. who specialize in this kind of problem with legs etc. thrombophilitis all say nothing can be done. it is so frustrating and they have ran all kinds of test to no avail. HE gets those venus sores and his leg is black. and his job requires him to work 12 hour days and sometimes 6 to 7 days a week. he is heavy equipment operator. he is now 63 wanted to be able to go til 66 but we dont know how. the dr. even tell him they have no idea how he can work. determination is all I know.
