Affirmative Action- "Equal" Opportunity?

December 16, 2010 11:08pm CST
I was reading an article today about making Affirmative Action legal again. The way it defined Affirmative Action was giving "Equal Opportunities" to minorities and women in the work place. When referring to "minorities", they mean people of color. I thought white men were now considered a minority? Doesn't that mean that white men should be getting the equal opportunities that colored men are getting?

Equality isn't "equal", Fairness is never "fair".

Fair and equal are just buzzwords used to get votes.

Well then what is "equal" opportunity? They way the article made it sound was that it was payback for discrimination over a hundred years ago?

Exactly Vanity! That isn't "equal opportunity", that is called "revenge".
