Have you ever been robbed or had attempted robbers?

I have had many attempted robbers and I am not even sure why because we live in a safe neighborhood and our house is no different to other homes in the area. But anyway- have you ever had your home robbed?
The most recent was when I got out of the shower and all of a sudden a guys head popped out of the window in my parents bed room which scared the crap out of me. Obviously it was too late to call the cops because I already saw him and he saw me. He was like uh, I thought it was my friends home- what a liar! Now we have alarm systems and security surveillance cameras.

i had once i find out a classmate when i was a little kid robbed my stuff and didn't returned, even done some kind of bullying showing up my pens like to torture me
i took a very expensive pen but i always thought robbering is disgusting, so i took and threw in the trash :D
as he didn't return my pen and threatned to beat me

I, and the lady with me, were mugged in Newark NJ the summer of 1970. As servants for Christ we were talking to boys and girls about Jesus. The lady I was with did what is called a "chalk talk" where she would draw illustrations on a small black board. 4 guys came down the street and walked by. 10 minutes later they came back, 1 from 1 end of the street, the other at the other end, and the other two from the lot across the street. Got mugged. Cops never got them.

Just recently I emptied my home which I owned for many years. I had a contract on my home and everything was set to go.
My home was broken in two times in a three week period in broad daylight and no one saw anything go out the front door. Ugh..
I also once was sitting in my car at a red light a couple years ago and in a matter of seconds a man walked up to my car and snatched my purse. I have never again put my purse inside the car with me again, I place it in the trunk. It is a scary and shame that as humans we have to experience this.

Wow! My house was attempted to be robbed in daylight as well! :/
I put my purse on the passenger on the bottom (never on the seat) but I lock the door too. But sometimes if you get pulled over and you open the trunk to get it they might think something so I don't put it in the truck.

Thankfully, I never experienced that before. I am lucky but I try to keep security features tight up. I am sorry for your experience though but remember, just be save :) We can't avoid such incidents as they are fated but we can always take safety measures just to be safe.
Great to have alarm systems and those camera. Give us a sense of security and calm :)

That's good that nothing has happened to you like that. That is the way it should be no one should be robbing people in the first place but it happens. And, yes, it is nice to have alarm systems & cameras to feel safe :D

hi,
I've never been attempt robbed or had been robbed,
and i have 3 dogs here, so no one could enter easily.
but my neighborhood had been robbed,
she lost cellphones, ipod, digicam jewelry and some money,
so she decided to add gate in her house to make it sure that they safe.
they captured one of the robbery but they didn't found her things.
