I have prediction about gadgets that will extinct on 2011.
1.house phone
many people have their own cellphone, the house phone, and I think it will make them extinct next year.
2.pager
actually pager is still exist, and the medical working are often to use it today. but, the demand are very little. just wait for the extinct.
3.DVD player
The HD film has more cheap now, the DVD abandoned more by people, and the DVD can not play Blue ray.
4.film projector
the digital projector has come and kick out the analog projector, it seems analog projector must retired.
5.Plasma TV
LCD technology that LED inserted can saving the energy, and the plasma TV must prepare to retired.
6.old Electronic book reader version
iPad kick out this type, with much feature inserted on iPad, and this gadget must retired early.
this is just my predictions, you have other prediction about gadget that will extinct next year?

1. About the house phone, I think it is still very popular. Because it is good to use an ordinary phone as house phone than mobile phone.
There is a radiation for the latter.
2. Pager - of course it is getting less popular. We can have sms or mms vide the mobile phone. If within the compound, we can use walkie-talkies.
3. DVD player will soon be faced off but not so soon.
4. Film projector - May be not popular anymore. Most commercial users prefer to invest for a better and most convenient machine to help the grow of their business.
5. Plasma TV - It is still popular at my place in 2011. I still can see the merchants promoting and selling the plasma tv.
6. Old electronics book reader - Yes, it can be less popular. Some people still need it in term of cheaper price by comparing to ipad.

good prediction aeiuou,
i think the biggest gadget chance to extinct is pager.
for the others, maybe extinct on advanced country, but can not easy to extinct on developed or poor country.
