Although the extent of forest in Java less than the forests in Kalimantan or Papua, but the forests in Java very vital because the concentration of population in Indonesia is on Java and Java forest is the forest for many species endemic Java island, such as the Javan eagle, Javan langurs, gibbons Javan, Javan rhinoceros, etc.. But did you know, the forest of Java, during the period of 2007-2010 has loss 10,000 ha and the largest contributor to deforestation on the Java island is East Java, that is 438.1 ha / year. If this left unchecked, over time the island of Java could turn into desert

hi advokatku It so sad to hear this as the deforestation will also upset the balance of nature a nd displace the animals of Java forest and that will have an effect on all the world. God gave a wonderful world and made us stewards of all the animals and fauna and it seems we are not being very good caretakers at all.I have never been to Java but I have seen pictures and read articles.I feel we have to care for this world as it has always taken good care of us.

yes, we should care more about the environment around us. God endow the forest not only for us, but also for children and our grandchildren later in future

Yes. It's very sad. If the forests continue to decrease, no more water catchment. Government and society must realize the importance of forests. Government and society, should also start thinking about this.

That is very sad. Perhaps getting the people jobs involving preserving the forest might help?
