VLC Mediaplayer

Hi people! I've found a good little software out there (for windows) is you are like me and you don't really like Windows Media player or even Real Player this little software playes movies a lot better even on slow PCs. I've found that it playes all sorts of movies from avi, mpeg, mp4, 3gp. I love VLC! I've been using it for many years now and it's pretty much my ideal video player. I love the fact that it plays a variety of files so I don't have to keep on downloading all these add-ons and other components. I also like the simple interface, it's really easy to use unlike some of the other media players out there. So, I'd recommend this player to anyone.

Theres a new version which I posted now it has a nice skin to, you can make it black so if you aren't in full screen and you are in a dark place it won't bother you.

Yes, VLC is the better ever! Even you can find it for many operating systems ;) Better take a look at the official page: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Yeah thanks :) does it really play every movie? Do I need codecs or does it have built in codec packs? Yes that is where I downloaded it, I just put it on a faster server. It's a mirror :) it took me a while to download it from there.

VLC player plays almost every video format there is. It is a great software. It even plays broken media files, files which other softwares can't play.

I've tried it before, but I'm still a loyal WMP user :) Still, VLC is topnotch.

WMP is crap. It cannot play most video formats and hardly has any features. You need codec packs to play movies in WMP.

Yes, I've been using this player for quite a while too- it's so great since it really plays almost all kinds of video and music files. I don't reeally use Windows Media Player and others already in my computer since they aren't really good. VLC is awesome !

Yes it is! :D I love it too. I think WMP will be left to dust in a little corner of my PC :)) But I'll first have to have a look at that codec pack.

I've never used this software, but i know there are a lot of video players avaialbe online. You will choose one after comparison with other players. Finally, I choose baofeng software, you can download from www.baofeng.com. Many users rate this as high, being able to open all formats including .flv extension file. It also provide another software designed to convert various format files to other formats. It's really fantastic. I strong recommend it. it's a chinese-designed software, by the way.

Thanks! I'll have a look. But I'm pretty happy currently with VLC, it loads fast, plays movies good and has keyboard shortcuts and loads of more good stuff.

I've never used VLC player before but my lecturers and some of my friends use it. I don't know if it's good or not, I'll try it out. Thanks for recommending it to us!

Ever since i come to know that vlc player all the format i am using VLC player only it is very good player with support to any format you throw to it.. i have tried KM player also which is also good one!

Yeah. WMP (Windows Mediaplayer) lags sometimes with high resolution movies (or HD) movies. VLC doesn't, that's why I like it.
