Dating Outside Of Your Social Class

Who has experience with this? Have you dated someone in a higher "social class?" What about a social class considered lower? I know categorizing people into social classes is incredibly sense thing to do, and in the end we are all equal, but the fact of the matter is it is a fact that social classes exist in our society, and there are many people who strictly abide, and adhere by the rules dictated by their social class (especially the higher up on the "food chain" they are). I'm currently dating a girl who's family would be considered to be in a much lower social class than myself. If the relationship continues I'm wondering what type of issues may pop up when families interact, and people that might not be so open minded automatically begin to judge those who they consider to be in a lower class.

I've dated mostly guys considered in a lower status than I am. For me, it doesn't really matter where the person is in the social strata. As long as you both like/love each other, everything's fine. I do acknowledge the presence of this social system, but that doesn't mean I only interact with people in the same status as I am. I'd like to think of myself as someone who doesn't stick to the status quo. In the end, it status doesn't matter. We are all equal.
