If you had the power to control the world's music industry

The International music industry is currently dominated by Sony records because of their power to pay payolas to promote the artists they favored. They had been guilty before but they were able to get away with it. I remember Sony records apologized for cheating the music industry before, But the only ones they admitted are Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Lopez and Greenday( I think Britney is a Payola artist too)
Which singers and bands wont be famous by now?
I think Sony is still doing Payola bribery but people were still continued to be brainwashed.
If you are more powerful than Sony records, which artist wont be popular by now and who would have been popular if you have all the power.

If I'd have the control over world's music industry, I would make some rock and metal bands popular. I think that music likes are not defined by who the artists are or what music label are they signed. I think that the likes are defined just by the era and the social conditions that determine it. So, I don't think that I would be possible to make famous around the world a black metal band, just because most people like the sound and the lyrics of metal.

In my case I will let the people have a variety but I will prioritize singer song writers and people who can sing no matter what their genre is. I will also give my best so auto tune wont be famous, If I have the control, I will kill Auto tune and sing talking. I will also favor artist too who have their own identity.
I do miss the gold era of metal, Metal is a very diverse genre, people just thought metal is all about screaming but its not.

If I have the power to control the music industry I want it like what oldies song have. They have stories in their songs. And it runs up to the latest generation.

So you will favor all the artist with vintage and classic style, I can see where you came from. I mean this generation thinks everything fed to them is cool, so its better to feed them music than garbage.
