It is definitely possible. I had done this before. Both of my computer doesn't have bluetooth utility installed, so I went to micro center purchase 2 of those bluetooth adapters and connect them to my desktop usb port. Then I initiate the software installed there, and detecting the nearest bluetooth device, then establish communication between them. I then send files from one computer to another. That is how I work it out. About 1 GB file, I haven't tried it yet, but it is possible. As long as you maintain the connection between 2 PCs.

yes, you can do it. With spirit and willing to do,you can do it. Bluetooth have facility called Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network) same as LAN (Local Area Network) or WAN (Wireless Area Network). With this facility, it possible to transfer data in any size, of course in various time. If you want to transfer 1 GB using bluetooth, maybe you can wait in one day. I suggest you use flash disk, or MMC or else like storage data if you want to transfer 1 GB or more.

Well, I am using bluetooth for a long time. You can surely connect two systems (nodes) for file transfer (data in any form). If you need any doubts means give me a pm or comment here. :)
